It's definitely a Jinx. Pause precisely at 2:15 > the camera glances the bottom of the deck and it clearly reads "Jinx" written with dark blue on the bat shape figure.
+Jason Bouskill In reality, all these tricks were being done even before the money bump phase in skating. In fact, they were all being done by one dude... Duane Peters.
So nice to watch, thanks for the upload!!!. Please give me an info (all of you) when u find other younger skaters who gives a tribute to 80's Skateboarding-Style!. I would appreciate it. Grts to all true nice sk8ers outta there!. PS: His name should be RayBURN! ;)
Vision Jinx. They re-issued it. Cool board. It's a "mini" version, so by todays standards it's not so big like a lot of the late 80's decks.... actually a pretty "normal" size.
I just bought "TENSOR LO MAG-LIGHT 5.5" ... not sure what the 5.5 stands for but they seem to fit nicely with the re-issue rat bones 85A. But that's partially cause the old rat bones stick out past the truck a good centimeter. I also went with the tensor lo maglights cause whenever I get a reissue board it seems heavy, not only cause of size but if you add rails or a tail guard. The tensors are supposedly the lightest truck out there... and on top of that, they're "lows" so even lighter I would assume. Just get some risers to make up for it depending on your wheel size (bigger wheels invite wheel-bite... smaller wheels have more clearance before they dig into the board).
Just looked it up... the tensors I got are 8.125 axle length. With the Rat Bones wheels that stick out past the axle a bit it's perfect. You should be fine with 9's. Depends on the wheel you get. With a modern wheel I'd say 9's. If you're going to order the board... I'd say just get it online and then take it to a skate shop and figure out what trucks/wheels will match.
Is that a jinx deck.... I really like the old school decks, my first hand me down pro deck was a red and silver mcgill, then a hand me down welinder , then a hand me down Dressen.... Recently tried riding a hammer head.... Ahhh, theres a reason for concave, and 9.5, 10 " boards are hella heavy... Worst of all, i like 60 mm wheels, they fit on indy 139 stage 11s loose without risers.... Those old school boards were WAY off the ground....
Wait are you talking about the trick where he goes on the tail or where he puts his hand on the coping. The one where he airs onto the tail is a tail block and the one where he puts his hand on the coping is a backside layback rollout.
thank you! tail block! imust learn it! its my favorite and i havent knmown wut its called for like 2 years! ugh now only if they had a how to backside cuz i watched hella vids for front side
I have a question, hopefully someone can answer for me. I've been thinking about getting an 80's shaped board, but I'm unsure as to how well I'd like it, seeing that I've never rode one before. Is it still possible to do tricks like nose stalls/picks on these boards? Also, how difficult is it to adjust to the lack of concave? I've ridden a modern board all of my life. Thanks!
I don't know if you've gotten one yet, but to answer your questions... 1. It's possible, just really hard due to the fact that the nose is so short. 2. Getting used to the lack of concave was easy for me, but I know it varies from person to person
The less concave works better for a wider board. Ray barbee and alva 10 inch leopard are 32 and 33 inches long, but singld kicked, if youre worried about ollies.
Watch closely, he hops the fence into the skatepark, but there are at least 15 other people sessioning there and the chance they all hopped the fence is slim. 0/10 ben could have walked through the gate instead of trying to seem edgy
+Chrisbfilms pretty sure they were just going for that old school video style, plus the music, goofy camera angles, the little camera spin at 1:44, it just goes with the old school vibe of the video. Don't think he was trying to be "edgy", just having fun doing a little throwback to the old videos/style he loves.
Dude my new hero..you DONT NEED POPSICLEs to hit the pools or street..this kid has sooooo muccchh talent. Love 80s style boards..the best feel ever

Whatcha mean "worst of all"? 60mm is a GREAT size.
i think its a vision jinx dude. i work in a skateshop and we have a yellow one and the older models dont have the writing in the bat symbol.
that last trick!!!!! was so sick
Jesus christ, this kid is fucking RAD as FUCK.

what size wheels do u think hes skating?
im guessing the ranges of 58 to 62mm
@@awfully.average 80s wheels were 53mm (powell freestyle) to 66mm (some santa cruz wheels) most common were 60s, i think thats what hes riding.

no its a slave board. pause at 1:39 you can se it says slave
