    Does anybody know if this fly has been prohibited for use on the San Juan? I was told that it was but not seen anything official. Thank you.

      no, but the "San Juan shuffle" (is) prohibited on the San Juan and should be everywhere.

      @@RT42069 - its when a wading angler literally shuffles his boots along the bottom to dislodge insects to chum fish into feeding just downstream so he can target them. Of course it only works in rivers like the San Juan with huge populations and right kind of water types.
