Just came about this video now and very helpful,i just submitted my application for Malta nomad digital program on Wednesday 28/05/2024 online,i got an email that acknowledge the receipt of my application,i am presently waiting for the directive on bank details where to pay application fees,€300 into.

Nice! Gasan Mamo for health insurance, booking.com for hotel accommodation. Look for a hotel that doesn't need you to pay before but when you get there.
Not too sure about VFS in Nigeria but I'm sure they will give you directions on how to go about it.

The VFS office just collects your passport and other important documents that they will tell you, probably your application forms, acceptance letter. I don't think any interview is given.
But they will direct you on what to do eventually.

Thanks for such a detailed video. at the time of application I didn't apply for my family/dependents and now I have submitted my passport to VFS for visa. is there an option now to add my family members and how can I invite them to Malta after I receive my residency card?
You're welcome. You would have to wait for a year when you are renewing to bring your dependents if you did not submit their application with yours.

We weren't really asked questions. The guy at passport control just said 'okay, it says that you're here for professional services?' and we said yes and handed over our approval letter.
So MAKE SURE, you have a printed copy of that with you when coming.

@@ItsToyoo Thanks, yeah I got the email of up to 60 working days but I know it hardly ever takes as long as mentioned, wanted to understand how long it took them to actually get back to you. If it took the full 30 days then I guess I would have to plan for the full 60 working day. The reply is greatly appreciated.
Yes it did. It was actually 31 working days to be precise for us.

I don't believe you need to have that amount in your account before applying. Some money is important, but not all.
Also, they need to see evidence that you have been getting paid that amount for at least 5 months (savings aside). They will ask for proof.

I plan to apply for Malta Digital Nomad under an employee contract (My contract does not say that I am allowed to work worldwide). but I am working fully remotely, How and What documents do I need to prove that I am working remotely and continue to do so in Malta as well.
You can ask for a letter from the employer to state that you work remotely.

Did you guys book dates 1-2 months after the date you got your approval in principle? Kindly let me know (I am based in Tunisia and need a visa for Malta)
You will need to ask Residency Malta or Identita for guidance. We did our 6 weeks after Approval in principle, and it so happens that we should have done it 2 months or more. Because we ended up having 1 month of health insurance unused.
You should email them and ask what the appropriate time frame should be.
For accomodation, it should be the same day of your arrival on your flight itinerary.

For work, if is expected that both parties are remote workers. So if you already have a remote job just like the husband, good, if not, you can begin to apply for one. The visa does not allow you to work in the country. That's why it's a digital nomad visa. To work in the country, you would need a work visa.
For children, yes, they have access to schools. But not the free schools. You have to pay.

Hello, I'm not sure about this. We simply reached out to them through email, and they sent us the quote and forms. You should find their email address on the website and message them

@sealnwaka4042 I'll advise that you book a hotel on booking.com.
Look for a hotel that allows you pay on arrival. We used 115 The Strand.
For insurance, use a temporary address, like the hotel address, and tell them you will change when you arrive.
This is what we did.

No, it means that they can cover up to 30k health or hospital bills. We paid about 400 Euros for a year for health insurance. If there is need to visit the hospital, within the year, for certain illnesses, I won't pay, the insurance company would pay.

Although, If you are going to the VFS (Visa Facilitation Service) office, there might be...I'm not too sure about this. We didn't use them, we used the premium visa.

We posted on a Facebook group, a number of agents messaged us. We went with the first guy and we had a good experience with him. He fought for us to get the apartment we wanted cause the competition was high 😪
But we still paid the agency fees. We already read about it months ago, before we came, so we just prepared our minds oo
