So watching tyler1's tournament, one really saw that Grubby enjoyed the banter between all participants. Grubby is just, most of the time, too polite to spit pain, but we all know he can be savage. Imagine Grubby having a training session with tyler1. Will it turn into a dark timeline with Grubby leaning into tyler1's persona and becoming as banter-heavy as tyler1? It would resemble the fall of Prince Arthas Menethil quite a lot... how poetic reality might become!

i hope grubbyTalks can someday feature your methods of instruction and give guidance on ways to nurture growth and grace in overcoming the common challenges learners might have. patience and perspective are so vital in supporting each student.
here where you asked, "how do you feel the fight is going?" and the student might have taken for granted what felt obvious, having him vocalize the answer allowed for the teaching moment about pressing the advantage with macro.
that little bit of 'professor Grubby teaching micro' feels useful to me in my teaching endeavors

"He's probably upgrading Master training" -- as the upgrade finishes mid-fight, kicking in on the very last alive Druid who dies before he could use it. If the opponent hadn't gotten the attack upgrade and had just prioritised Bears, they might have had them in time for the fight and things could have gone differently. Interesting to think about how these small inefficiencies can influence the flow of a match.

Muscle memory is key. Key bindings should be set once and remain the same until forever. The moment your muscle memory in your fingers instinctively know the bindings then you are going to your next level of play.
Been playing RTS since 2005, 9 years old and i still instinctively know the key bindings. Form Warcraft, C&C, SC1, Battle Realms, etc. Never played competitively online but local bet games. Learning the "standard" gameplay from the start helps a lot. Just like learning an instrument at an early stage as well.

Swap Ctrl and Win keys, this will make Ctrl closer to 0 and also relieve the load from the pinky and put it to the thumb, which is much stronger

Ctrl + 0 has been a reactionary move for me , I perfectly reach the 0 fully stretched consistently , but use it once every hundred games roughly 😂
