Was just watching this! can you kind give ratings of the food/shops you visited :D i'm about to visit Taiwan at the end of this month :) Would be nice to know where you'd recommend me from the list of places you visited
Thanks for asking this question! We were in Taichung for around 10 days and this video includes all the places I really liked! If I had to choose, these would be my 10/10s: 1. Miyahara’s ice cream was really unique (Type “Fourth Credit Union Taichung” in Google Maps, it’s their second location and this one actually has seats & a washroom) 2. Foam Cat Cafe has surprisingly well-made cafe food and drinks for a themed cafe! 3. Taichung National Theatre is perfect if it rains or if it’s a nice day! Can’t really beat the beautiful architecture, outdoor garden, 2 different cafes, and interesting art exhibitions + pop-ups! 4. Shen Ji New Village for the artisan crafts and definitely try the black sweet potato balls because I didn’t really see this anywhere else 5. Claw Machine Arcade was so fun because you can actually win lol so many claw machines in Taiwan but this one has actual staff to help you out (exchange your win/if something gets stuck) I hope you have a great trip! If you have any other questions on your trip feel free to dm me or Will on ig :)
@kaayzilla oh wow such fast reply! thank you so much i really appreciate it 🤗🤗🤗 yes I will be on my trip end of this month. kind of excited kind of nervous
I think it depends what you want to see in Taichung! If you're more into artistic activities like art galleries and craft markets then I would suggest to make a stop in Taichung for a few days. If you're heading to experience Taiwan for its culture, food, and city life then Taipei is a much easier place to navigate as a non-speaker/reader.
You should check klook! They have private charters. I booked tours and got discounts on travel activities on the website. Use code: KAAYZILLA for a small discount as well! I hope this helps 🎀
The foam cat cafe was 100% the highlight ✨
Most definitely the cutest desserts and drinks!!
The art of cat on the coffee cup was so cool.
