    The problem with Harvey is they are sending all this free stuff to RUclipsrs to demonstrate. I ordered a dust collector and if said it would ship in about a month in a half. again I knew it ahead of time so I had no issue. They charged me fully instantly and it posted. A week later I decided to go with Oneida. I cancelled and they wanted to keep 5% for cancellation. I don’t care that it was their “policy”. It handing shipped and wouldn’t for 90 days so I shouldn’t have been charged. It shouldn’t charge until it ships.

      That’s the law in MA, but not all companies abide. I notice the same thing when, seconds after pulling the trigger, my wife got a text and turned to me in horror. “Six thousand dollars?!”

      I thought it was only the sliding table part for 1200 but it actually comes with an over sized miter gauge then it's not that bad. You have to factor in other real sliding table saw cost in the $8000~$9000 range. I was thinking about the lamello jointers which cost $2000. $1200 for this table, big chunk of precise machined metal, it really not that much.

    Thanks so much for doing that video. I have the 36" PCS as well and am looking at sliders. For me it is either the Harvey or the Sawstop sliding crosscut table. I am wondering why you decided to go with the Harvey. Any specifics?

    • @CReevesMakes
      @CReevesMakes  Год назад +3

      I actually used to have the SawStop version and didn’t care for the slop in it. I couldn’t get rid of it either. The Harvey is much smoother and easier to tune in the areas that were issues on the ss.

      From what I have found in talking with lots of people on this exact subject is that Harvey actually makes these for SS. And the Harvey comes with accessories that the SS don't. Also, you can catch the Harvey on sale for around $1,199.00 (actually right now). I have never see the SS on sale, ever and I think it's like $1,399.00. or more.

      @CReevesMakes  Год назад +1

      Yes, I actually owned a used SS for a while and it didn’t have some of the features that the Harvey did and I couldn’t lock it 100% to the slider like you can on the Harvey. Agreed, more features with random sales (like right now for $1199.00) and better customer service.

      @@CReevesMakes Great video and very intriguing product. (Like you, I have a Sawstop PCS, and so this represents an alternative to Sawstop's own sliding table.) What would be involved in removing it? And, when re-installing it, would that then require more time spent checking that it's still all level and square to the saw & blade? Thanks.
