This helped me so much! I always see premade (with no flavour) incense just put in essential oils, but I was looking for the explanation of the incense making, so this was very helpful, thank you! :)
Thanks very much for your comment Alice, we're really glad you liked the video! Are you planning on making some incense for yourself? We'd love to see how you get on! :)
@@SikanaEnglishThank you for this video. Can you explain what are the basic ratios of the powders, oils and water? That would also be helpful and avoid wasting ingredients and better rexperiments of what works well ...
Awesome project, thanks for sharing! One thing that might help for future videos would be to throw a few recipes in the comments (ie a ratio of acacia gum to dried powdered lavender or whatever otehr herb they want to use) The video gives a good overview of the process but with it being so short those sort of details are missed (but could easily be added to the description). I'm looking forward to giving it a shot later :)
Can you please write some information about the names of the herbs that you showed in this video. I can not find them. The video very well explained. Thank you.
Okay I need to know if I'm getting this right. If I did this, would it be right: 1. Grind up charcoal (is there a specific type I need?) 2. Add ground up resin (dragons blood and other common ones) 3. Add essential oil and water, making moldable 4. Roll sticks in it and then cover in powder from earlier 5. Let dry Is the incense ready to burn then?
This is the best video by far I've seen on making your own incense. No BS, no hocus-pocus, just straightforward fundamentals. Thx. I want to ask, though, about making incense without putting a stick in the middle. I don't want the smell of the burning stick. Do you just shape the incense putty into a cone or whatever and burn it that way?
Hi, not sure if you are still looking for this information; but yes, you can just shape them into a cone using your hands. I have also noticed people with little wooden gadgets to shape several incense cones at a time. I am not sure what they are called though. Another good idea that I ran across was the tip of a piping bag lined with parchment or wax paper to get the cone shape. All the best to you and yours =-)
Bhutan & Tibetan incenses are made with no sticks, you can Google and see their beautiful incense holders. Then no need to sharp incenses. By the way, when I travel I prefer using clip (small one for holding papers). It's the lightest and cheapest thing i know for holding incense, and so convenient to get it! Just need to adjust the angle to let incense stand properly.😊
Thank you for this video I am trying to make some incense sticks using pyrethrum to keep mosquitoes away and this video was very informative on the incense process
Great video thanks! I got my answer I needed. For anyone asking about binders, I use Makko Powder. It is a Japanese odorless bark that works great so far.
Very well done video....very precise explanation I love it! I always buy nag champa and end up with a bunch of the powder when I'm done with my bag and wanted to know if I could purpose it! This was very useful thank you very much!!!🤗
I'm a hands on learner. I wish we had a class you could sign-up for at our community College! I'm a total incense junkie, I've smelled it ALL - good and bad!!! 👃 Peace and Love - Roseburg Oregon ✌❤🙏

They are regular bamboo sticks,so you should be able find them at Walmart and places like that

This is the only video on incense stick making that is actually making them and not putting essential oils on pre-made sticks
Good work done.
