I saw a few other creators have the same issue with wearing off on the jawline. So I don’t think it was you not powdering enough in that area. For $58 I think that is super expensive and I don’t want to have to make something work for me for that price. This one is a pass for me! Thank you for reviewing and giving us your thoughts! You always look beautiful no matter what! 💗
Thank you! I think the texture of this one is going to make it really hard to totally avoid transfer. I’m curious to try it with my setting spray next time to see if that makes a difference!
I think a lot of people will have trouble getting this to set down with Squalene so high on the ingredients list. Dry winter is a better time for this. I’m a fan of his artistry.
When you first applied it, before you powdered at all, I thought "oh no, this doesnt work". But then, after powdering and in your car, it was "dang, she's a magician!" It looked so good on you, Blair! And it would be even better in the winter. Not for me, I'm not a dewy kind of girl. But it looks great on you 😊
Omg I used the Tarte Creaseless Creamy Concealer all over with Natasha Denona Powder foundation and set with the NARS Setting spray and my sunglasses did not leave marks 😱😊😊😊🤍🤍🤍 I’m obsessed with that combo and the YSL Blush 37 & Lancome bronzer my perfect look … this foundation is too glowy/ dewy for me & my oils lol I love the serum foundations for the plumpness like nars light reflecting it’s great!
Hey Blair❤ so, I paused your video just as you’re starting to apply the foundation and I know you said this is how Patrick Ta normally applies his product… but, I think (this is just a suggestion😊) if you dot the foundation on your face like you normally would before using your brush… you’d get more coverage🤷♀️ I’d do it Patrick Ta’s way when I wanted a shearer application. I personally like the way it looks on you with the sponge application!! And if you use a damp beauty sponge… it doesn’t soak up anymore product than a brush would (just fyi) only a dry beauty sponge will soak up product (which is why you typically wet the sponge first❤) a lot of people have this misconception about beauty blenders. As far as the foundation (for me) goes… as a more mature woman, glowy foundations like this tend to just emphasize my fine lines (in my opinion) and it makes me self conscious🤷♀️ I personally prefer natural or soft matte foundations. With the amount of skincare I have on, they are pretty glowy with the filtered effect of a matte foundation ❤❤
This is why I was waiting for your review haha I felt like it would defs be too glowy for me and if you think it's too glowy then it will be way too much for me haha xx PS You looked stunning though!
These very dewy foundations I can’t wear in the summer time. I love the Nars one and the Revlon one. With that said I don’t wear much foundation anyway. I use concealer where I need it and the Merit stick. Most powders cake on me around the nose and forehead where I need it the most, so I don’t bother with it. This foundation looks lovey on your skin it doesn’t look like makeup. ❤❤❤
I saw Jessica Alba use a mattifying primer from her Honest line and she dabbed it on top of her foundation. I've been using this technique when i am too oily/moist and it works. Also, mattifying setting sprays will work too.
Oh Blair! I ordered the same shade and was super excited for it to arrive. Now..... :( I just looked up the return policy I can tell you I won't even open it WAYYYY too much glow for me, not enough coverage and I can't stand any type of transfer.. I should have waited!
It looks pretty on you. Maybe he will add a satin and or matte option as a finish in the future! That price is steep. Love the ingredients! Skin care is a must! This finish is right up my alley! I will pick this up for fall winter when my skin is dryer.
Thank you for the review Blair. I think it looks Beautiful. It just might be one where you tweek your skincare or spf a little or use a different powder. I just bought the CD stick and Love it so this is on hold for a bit😊❤
I am very dry . I tried with nothing under . Didn’t look good at all . Applied with my fingers looked nice . I have to re try today . I don’t ever get oily ever or get a shine . It sorta reminded me the hourglass skin tint . Hourglass less coverage and around same price .
im glad i've been put off of this by reviews. these super skincare infused foundations always pill over mineral sunscreen. i have a gift card and was deciding between trying this or the dior foundation stick, if it ever comes in stock to stores in the US so I can swatch it.
Thanks so much for reviewing this foundation Blair I love to watch you and Martina lily Since I'm so oily and after taxes this is almost $65 Sadly I guess I'll pass I guess since I don't have dry skin I don't understand the obsession with luminous products On me I just look greasy But I love your content ❤❤
Would shaking the bottle first to mix the ingredients well prior to pumping out the foundation help? The shade is perfect on you which will probably be the shade I get as well! I have the Make Up Forever HD Skin Hydra Glow foundation as well and love it. I normally use the Supergoop sunscreen but may try another one that’s more on the matte side and go very light on my moisturizer or skip my moisturizer all together to see if that helps with the glow. I will definitely use my Make Up Forever HD SKIN SETTING POWDER SHINE-CONTROLLING & BLURRING SETTING POWDER with a large fluffy brush in shade banana. I want to pick up the shade you have. Thank you for the review. Yes it’s hot out! I am so ready for fall! 😊
Maybe this would be a good winter option - I have really dry skin and winter is a struggle. The only foundation I’ve tried they does not wear away where my glasses sit on my nose is Dior Backstage - I like the reformulation and the shade range.
I have straight up combo skin and it wore really good on me. I’m semi oily and semi dry. I used the tarts creaseless concealer and powder and the Mario powder. I love the Mario powder but not with that foundation. I needed to use a more aggressive powder with it. I returned it and now I’m regretting that so I’m fixing to reorder🤣🤣 looks beautiful on your skin though.
I too love Patrick Ta so I will be trying this. My skin tone is exactly like yours so I’m going to look for shade number 10, it is nice to know that it is a true neutral and not yellow at all. It does look luminous but like you said the lights always make it look more so on camera. Did you get this in the store I’m assuming, I guess so if you swatched it.. For some reason I thought it was only available online at the time. I will definitely have to get this for this coming long weekend. If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get those earrings? I really like them.😊
Yes, I went on the 27th so I could see the shade in person. They actually didn’t even have it out yet, but they brought out shades from the back for me to test. My earrings are from Nordstrom, they’re by Jenny Bird! I linked them in the description box 🩷
Hey Blair, new subscribers here ❤ been watching you fora while. Thank you for the review, definitely too glowy for my skin. Do you have a link for your jewelry on this video?
I really only use tinted sunscreen. But if I used foundation, this would probably be for me! I'm the driest of dry and casually sweaty is my makeup esthetic 😂
The only way I could wear this foundation is if I didn’t use skincare prior to wearing it. At 64, there’s no way I would give up my anti-aging skincare for a foundation only even though the foundation contains many of the same ingredients I use every day. I think if you’re younger and don’t have age related concerns, this would be worth a try with very little skin prep prior to wearing it.
I’m so tired of glowy foundations. They’re not flattering and they don’t last well. Hard pass. Would love to see you review some more natural to soft matte foundations.
@@allthingsmakeup99 I am a dry girl. In winter VERY dry. And the glowy stuff just doesn’t flatter my pores regardless. Guess we all have our preferences.
Wow, this foundation is a grease bomb! However, my skin can gets really dry in the winter; so maybe this is the solution. I hate products that won't set down, so that would be a deal breaker. Maybe, you can give us an update once you've used it for a while. I'm not sure about this one. This might be two misses in a row for Patrick.
Appealing to more people seems important since many of us have very oily T-zones. I'm not into the very glowy look so this will be a pass for me, especially considering the price.
I have noticed that squalane when it’s high on the ingredients list breaks me out, too. For example, the Cosrx squalane serums are a hard pass for me. If squalane is low on the ingredients list in a moisturizer, my skin can tolerate it.
Thank you for the review! This is going to be a pass for me. It seems like they tried to do too much with the formula. Add in the price being higher than my favourites from Hourglass, Givenchy, Dior and Haus Labs, I just don’t believe it will be money well spent for me.
I don’t really like it. I think it’s too shiny. This won’t work on my older skin. I think it is too much shine on your skin. Your skin is exceptionally beautiful before the foundation. The shine is distracting. This is too editorial IMO.
$58 for a trendy makeup artist brand with his other products have quality issues,I’ll definitely won’t buy.if I can or $58 is not an issue for my spending,I’ll get a Chanel No1 foundation.idk what is his team doing, this is when one makeup artist’s head growing big and think he’s products are luxury products but they are not, only the price.
I can never understand women wanting to waste money on packaging, is it because their husband is the one who works to earn the money?? Because I have worked all my life and know how hard a dollar is to earn, I am much more interested in the product inside, than the bottle that is just thrown in the bin!!
So you’re the only woman who works? 🤣🤣🤣 why do you care how others spend their money? Why do care what brings others joy? I work very hard for my money too.
