Beautiful frame and nice build. Good to see a fellow Kiwi producing such quality content. I'm also pleased to see you don't cut up the vintage frames in other builds I've seen you do.
Calvin Christoph id say the person was likely building a derby car that was meant to be like that. Everything is in context. I’d say front brakes can be a preference on a bike vs a two ton death machine. We learned to ride as kids on fixed gear bikes lol
@@Ryanpeech tru. if you're gonna ride that on the roads, gotta have front brakes though. imagine if OP set it to single speed and forgot it had no brakes 😆

waveywheelies really nice thanks a lot! One more question: I’m building bikes myself but struggling a bit with the forest of knowledge (is this an english expression haha? It is in dutch anyways) and all the super skilled old men who have tons of knowledge. Are you an autodidact and if yes, where do you get your knowledge and also your absolutely beautiful parts? Thanks a lot and really looking forward to a new vid!
I mainly ride in the city, but I have a mountain bike because i like to ride off road sometimes, should i sell it to build a single speed bike that will suit most of my riding? In the long term i could buy a mtb to have along the single speed, but in the short term all i really do is gravel riding at best. So basically I'm just looking for a direction to go in with the type of bike i should have for now (pretty tight budget outside of what I could earn from selling my mountain bike). -sorry for the semi broken English ❤
If your mainly riding in the city I think you'll benefit a lot with riding a single speed. If you get one with wide clearances so you can fit 35c + you'll be sweet off road too. Im currently riding a Surly Steamroller with 38c tyres, sweet as in the city and mint through the trails and its easy enough to swap them out for 25c tyres if your mainly riding city. Converting an old steel road bike to single speed can be a really cheap option too that might allow you to keep your mtb, depending your budget obviously
@@waveywheelies 52cm frame fixed, 175mm crankset, 700c 28. I think my fork bent because I never had the pedal hit the tire when turning. I'd only have hit the tip of my shoes a little before, but now I fear I could crash if I don't time pedal strokes when I turn lol
Not sure I’ve actually seen 162.5 before. Shortest generally is 165. But if you can get 162.5 I don’t see why they’d be bad. And yeah I would check your Forks first 👍
Flexing those NJS stamps. Such a clean bike
Thanks! l plan on doing a full njs build one day, just slowly collecting parts
this bike is radiating enjoyment in every meaning
what a clean build! love that wheelset, the bladed spokes are beautiful
Thanks my bro!

Thanks mate, appreciate it! What do you mean by cutting up the frames?
@@waveywheelies The derailleur hanger on the dropout, the braze-ons for the shifters, that sort of thing.

Damn the colours 👌🏻
These videos are so satisfying :)
Yeah no shit, everyone knows that ;)
That paint 🥰😍

I still think this is the nicest build you’ve ever done
Thank you👌
So beautiful, would have gone with a silver chain though to complement all the shine.
thanks! yeah that definitely would look sweet!
Love the color way it’s perfect 👌🏽 and the the things you added to it just perfect 😍 💯
Damn that’s a beautiful frame set. Awesome work, it looks really trick.
Thank you! Appreciate it!
Flexin on some njs saddle and drops huh. Nice build man it is so clean
Haha thanks bro! Hopefully one day I have enough for a full njs build..
Awesome build awesome video
beautiful colors
My favourite so far❤
bar tape/ grips, end plugs, remove singlespeed gear, add foot retention straps/cages
I mean no breaks and no straps is fucking suicide
And whose riding this bike again? You?
Jordan Williams Jr if you saw someone build a car with no brake lines you’d say oh cool they must know best 😂

The NJS flex is real in this one
Looks straight off a Japanese keirin track! 😁
So nice but I’m always waiting for the toe cages+straps and the bar tape
Thanks man! Yeah sorry the straps didn’t arrive in time, they’ll be put on before properly riding 🤙
Beautiful bike
Such a beautiful build mate!
Thanks bro!
this looks great!

nice build...the sattel though i think might not be the best choice for such a beautiful color scheme on the frame? perhaps i am wrong.

I absolutely love these videos!! I was wondering what kind of crankset this is? Looks really nice!
Thanks a lot, appreciate it!! I’m not actually sure as they don’t have any markings on them but they are pretty similar to the Andel Classic cranks

Can we get the name to these beautiful beats playing in the background ?
Sorry man but these beats are made by a homie, so they aren’t posted anywhere. I’ll let you know when/if they release them!
what kind of wheels are these? kinda remind me of campy shamals
What the size of the square taper bottom bracket
Wow beautiful bike what's the size of the frame?

Where can you find that wheelset for sale
how do i stop my pedals front hitting the front wheel? shorter crank, new fork, or smaller tire(28c to 25c)?
Either of those option will help. What length crank are you running? Some frames naturally have toe overlap

What is the stem and where can I buy one with that angle?
Its a track style stem, so most track quill stems will be this angle. Like Nitto

What kind of grease do you use?
finish line premium grease
waveywheelies cheers, always wanted to know what that white grease was. what’s the next best thing if I can’t get my hands on finish line?
Most bike specific grease will be good bro, the stuff I use isn’t super special, there’s loads of different greases out there
nice lugs, shame about the welds.
Yeah it would be a lot nicer fully lugged I think
How much for this beauty?♥️♥️♥️♥️
How much you offering :)
What the stem name
What stem did you use?
No clear markings on the stem unfortunately, but it’s a relatively new style pista/track stem
Thanks, been after one with a good negative drop but haven't been able to find anything outside of the NJS ones. Great videos btw!
