Treading the paths of the old timers and rediscovering things lost to time. Its satisfying playing detective and piecing together elements of the past. Trying to understand the daily lives of miners long gone, lost to a harder, more trying age. Also a bit of gold from time to time sweetens the whole day. AI'm looking forward to the magnet fishing. I've alwaye wondered whats down there but am too terrified to shine a torch down haha.

You aren't wrong about this summer, I'm already dreading it. 30 degree day yesterday felt much hotter than it should have. I feel like it's going to be one of those blistering white hot sun, baked red earth, scorched rock, summers. Hopefully the shiny shows up better in all that sun 😁

I'm gunna have to break out the big hat and just tough it out. I'm thinking sluicing and panning is the go so we can at least splash around in the water.

I don't have any expectations so I always have a fantastic time no matter what. It's just a happy place for me. thanks for the subscription it's greatly appreciated my friend. But I haven't shot any videos as I'm rather illiterate when it comes to the internet thing. I want to make videos in the future. I had to make this so i was able to comment on peoples videos. Trashy spots are the go, most people keep clear of them, a magnet on the end of your pick will make it faster to recover junk and hopefully leave gold behind.

@@RockAndOre People dumping rubbish in the bush has increased in recent years, if tip fee's were resonable it wouldn't be so bad, but people will still be lazy.

Hi mate, I went to school with a Delmenico but I'm struggling to remember her first name. The five flags pub has a long history with the "gold timers" and there is some great photos online from early times. Thanks for sharing that mate.

That's very true mate. My first biggish nugget (9.4g) came out from under half a horse shoe.

I'm not 100% sure Goat, but that mine and battery at Eureka reef ran from 1850 to 1950, It's likely to have been built around the late 1800's
