Great story and narration! I knew something would follow the sound of the boom, shaking, and falling rubble! The poor kid knew something was up! Great and interesting yarn! Thanks!
Grateful for that fab story. I don’t think I ever heard of him but I liked it a lot, thank you! You put 1,000,000,000% into everything that you do! Like I said you have the curse of the perfectionist!🌟🤩🌟
Thanks Jasper! That was great 👍. Think I'll be forced to get the anthology now. Suspect the "Jar" is meant to have been full of oil at one point and used in the village of Bethany to anoint the head of a certain young Rabbi? "Who was not.....but a very naughty boy"?
@@EnCryptedHorror lol 😆....obviously Jasper is Orthodox gourd. ...pure big bang theory geekiness though - the give away in the story is "Lord of all beauty". As in "this is a beautiful thing she has done for me..."
@@EnCryptedHorror ✌⚰🖤👏 Loved the awesome accents too. You do great narrations. With all the bells and whistles putting in the extra work for the background sound and effects. Truly quality work. Or should I say, Capital just CAPITAL 👍🏼
Spoilers Below: This story had an unexpected comedic touch, but at the same time kept up the horror. I liked how the boy was shown to be pretty suspicious because the situation appeared to good to be true and ultimately it was. It was surprising that the boy's untimely end came not from a malevolent betrayal ,but from the mystical old man apparently messing up either an experiment or ritual and killing himself on accident. Excellent narration as always.
Yes, despite the age of the story, the comic treatment felt quite fresh, I thought. It's playing with conventions that must have already been conventions at the time for them to be parodied in this way. Glad you enjoyed it.
As I said 'many moons ago'...its obviously the alabaster jar in the new testament. But...its good thing to live in a world of philistines. Good for plot ideas.
Cor blimey! I hope you enjoy this amusing 1935 story by Thomas Burke, guv'nor. If you did, leave a LIKE and a COMMENT.
Jasper, you outdid yourself today. Now I need anxiety medication.
Cool dark room for you, Jared...😉
An impeccable tale & production to penetrate my penumbra! I've been overcome by it's Power..
Haha! Thanks Terry 👍
Ooh thank you! To be honest I’d listen to you reading the telephone directory if it still existed 😀❤️
Weirdly, we had a telephone directory come through the door yesterday. When we've run out of other stuff I might record that 😄
@@EnCryptedHorror oh joy 😆♥️
