Pretty Posh for the Era, but straight enough for point and shoot operations. Even like the clean lines of its design, but I've had hit and miss experiences with a few of the Petri Auto Exposure Rangefinders of this period. Great Tutorial David. Thank You!
Yeah, they tend to be off a lot of people's radar. I think I've reviewed a couple of other Petris here and have found that, at lest from an optical perspective, they tend to be quite good.
Had never seen this PEE-tree model. Near the end of Petri - they made a sweet CDS-metered rangefinder. Might have been the same model of a Miranda rangefinder. A lot of Vietnam vets brought back Petri slrs from PX’s in Vietnam or Korea. Did not last like Canons or Nikons.🙃

Yeah, this was a stately little camera and a pretty easy interface, too.
Petri is nearly forgotten today. Interesting that you picked one up. I have one of their goofy proprietary-mount SLRs. It's.... not utterly terrible.

I've heard that the PXs had this brand a lot, and a few others though often those are less well known like Pax.
Ah yes, petri....crap, at least mines is.
Some were better than others.
