Remote desktop is so nice! I use it all the time when I'm away from home to manage things that I couldn't run on my laptop
I just realized Chrome Remote Desktop allows you to access your computer from anywhere in the world as long as there is internet connection and the host computers are powered on. I thought I needed a VPN network. This helps out a lot as I was transferring files over before my vacation lol.

why can't open the file that we share always says you dont have access even though i have given access to the file and turned off password protection please answer i really need it. thanks
Since this video Microsoft has disabled this function. I am also furious at them because now I have to insert a flashdrive to manually copy over files. Such a hassle and backward in technology.

I cant access it. I i put in the ip address and I get an error: 'Windows cannot access \\...'
Microsoft disabled access a year or more ago. I was pissed. Now I have to manually transfer to a memory stick or hard drive.
CRD has a built-in file transfer, so why bother with the IP @?

Something strange, it doesn't work. In fact, are you simply suggesting that you enter someone else’s IP address into the search and it will open a folder on another computer? This is weird.
This no longer works because Microsoft disabled the feature. If it was working it's password protected.
Can someone help me out with this one, do I need to have the same Gmail address for both pc or It doesn't matter

@@Jay_Rule google remote desktop file sharing is on the right hand side of the desktop, has a 500mb size limit and drops files from desktop to desktop. It is not what you are showing.

This is not what I consider to be simple "copy/paste"
I'm sure they've changed things around by now.
Somebody is tracing all these videos for who is watching these remote connection videos and tracing out the IP address of the viewers and trying to hack their computers and laptops. Lucky I blocked the IP address of those hackers which I traced back to Russia
You can set it to dynamic ip address so it changes every time. Chrome has a built in firewall.
