This is so refreshing to escape those titles which keep popping up on every list published at the end of the year. Not to criticise all those marvellous books which may or may not have won prizes but to explore other possibilities is exciting. I must look for the Allsopp and I love any author whose name ends with dottir! Thanks as always Bob😊
thank you for this list - i’ve added some titles to my tbr! the christmas tinies are v cute, and i also can’t quite imagine what a muriel spark christmas tale could be lol
I just finished Body Friend by Katherine Brabon, which is published by Ultimo Press and which I really liked. I also created a reading challenge for this on StoryGraph again. With credits given to you, of course. Can't share the link, because RUclips doesn't like that, but everyone who's interested can easily find in by searching for Indiecember 2024.
What a great list! And those little Christmas surprises are so fun. I added several to my TBR.
I have definitely not been spending enough time exploring indie presses!
I love indie press content, thanks for putting Bleeding Fabulous on my radar!

Ahah yes! It wasn’t as caustic as I thought, but imagine Muriel Spark at a Christmas party!
I’m catching up on backlist indie this month as I have Marzahn mon amour and Mammoth to read and Solenoid still to finish (started in September 😮)
Ooh, exciting! Marzahn is fab, I think! Enjoy!
