    On this divided solo Bix uses a sound similar to his two-part solo on "Clementine." These two takes offer a chance to see how Bix perfected his solos in later takes.

    My memory may fail me, but I believe I've been told, that this recording never was published, having been considered not suitable for the Whiteman name, so I was a bit surprised by the view of its etiquette. Maybe just a one of the typical negative myths surrounding this bandleader?
