I played with an orisa who wanted us to "collapse on the zarya". Seeing how that strategy never worked and they never changed tanks, I went bastion with a reaper. Thanks to the mercy pocket on the zarya and beam charge, we weren't able to last much longer after getting rid of her second bubble (sojourn and mei had a field day with us). Needless to say we lost that game, but at least it was qp. Some tanks think that you should only focus the tank. Like my brother in Christ, you will never win that battle because everyone else on our team will die before their tank unless they int.
@@MrFultonian I know. Unfortunately facing zarya in quick play tends to be an automatic L since everyone shoots her shiny bubbles and tanks want to have ego battles all match. I at least tried to join in on the stupidity because, as I heard questron say, if one person is trolling then it's stupidity, but if two people are doing something stupid, then it's teamwork
@@paullucas9536 bastion can melt through zaryas bubbles instantly, and then melt through her health even quicker. if you have a mercy dmg boost she wont last more than 5 seconds.

Pro tip for anyone wanting others to change characters. If you ask, and or TELL someone to change they are most likely going to dig their heels in and not change. Its better to get them to come to the conclusion that if they switched to a better counter, the game would turn around. For example, if they have a rein and no one is tearing down his shield. Point out the problem and let others believe it was their idea. Telling people what to do will never win you a game.
Backseating only works if you are the one carrying. Otherwise you are being toxic.
Exactly. Also make sure that their pick is the problem in the first place LOL and ask if they think their champ is working. If they say no MOVE ON otherwise a loss is almost guaranteed.
Yes! Unfortunately people get frustrated and in a competitive environment that seems to create a bad atmosphere for teamwork. It's why this game is so, so much more fun with friends -- people who'll relax and try to win as a group, rather than looking for someone to blame to protect their egos.
I feel a lot of the games I've lost would have been easy wins if not for someone in the team flaming early on. We don't like to admit it, but humans are sensitive and whether that means someone gets you angry or makes you feel bad, it never or at least very very rarely ends in someone improving their play rather than stubbornly doubling down. Even if someone *is* playing bad, drawing attention to that fact is only going to ingrain their bad habits. It's much better to ask if there's something generally that could be done about the team comp, give them the opportunity to act independently.
For me at least, if you ask nicely I'll almost always switch. But I've had people be toxic and demand it. I'm always like "does being toxic usually work?" I'll throw this fucking game don't tempt me
what i do (as a support) when something is going wrong i just simply ask them to take care of the problem not change who they are playing an example being a pharah who was farming support for free half the game all i had to say was hey dps can we do something about the pharah she keeps killing us and we cant do too much about it both dps insta swapped to soldier and ashe.... that pharah then started raging in chat about her own team lol
I knew at low medal ranks people just look at damage numbers and point fingers but seeing it happen in Arrge's matches is hysterical. He deadass said "SHOOT THE TANK MORE" I really can't LOL

I usually will shoot tanks like orisa or ram because it’s free melt. But as a sniper hero knowing you can one shot majority of the heros, it’s best to just one shot at least the supports to ensure you win the fight lmao
That’s why 1 shots are so strong. Less useless dmg that just gets healed back trading ult charge.

Arrge shooting the tank for some dmg numbers over going for picks wouldnt have won the game either. Some kids just have zero accountability.
I kinda get it. Distracting the tank with suppressing fire helps. However it doesn't when they are being pocketed.
I remember one time in quick play I would start the fight with 3 picks every fight. When we lost they blamed me and the whole enemy team took up for me saying I was the only reason they even pushed it that far. It was a nice feeling

This happened to an enemy lifeweaver, my guy was getting flamed by his tank and dps despite he was doing everything to keep his tank and said dps alive (literally saved them numerous times from me and my team mates)
I told him he didn’t deserve his team
One time also in quick play, I was on echo and me and my friend were on a loss streak, just trying to win one game. It wasn't my best echo game, but I didn't do horribly shit. The enemy baptise (literally an echo counter because he isn't easy to dive and is a hitscan) called me trash at the end of the game lmao
Guess what, the first guy is french, thx to him for keeping our reputation down ;) I truly had a game few minutes ago with two french guys grouped together, talking to our dps like a dog and being toxic and he was totally getting carried by us :(

I've tried from S Korea to the US and Europe all the way and it just always happens. You try to have fun and as soon as the match begins someone will start insulting you for no reason.

First thing I do to check in a comp match is to invite to group my team and figure out if I'm with solos or a group. If I'm with a group I mute them and Squelch all chats because its impossible to communicate with them anyways. Rather not have them hop on the mic to say some dumb shit.

You're right usually its a stack with one person in a higher elo carrying their friend. Then they'll flame anyone outside their group for not winning/hard stuck. I had to get out of those toxic groups. Once I wanted out they had no problem flaming me next calling me boosted.
My group member did this a lot to me, he would tell me to swap off my characters to counterpick, but in a nice way. This definitely became super discouraging but I kept training my doomfist and I hit Masters 1. We still play together and he’s Master 3, seems I leveled up.

I love people who keep staring at the scoreboard trying to figure out what numbers to complain about instead of playing the game. Happens to me most games in lower rank. You can literally get a 4k alone and die to like a venom mine then lose the game because your team is busy trying to convince you that you're trash over chat and not doing anything else.

As a hanzo player myself, I can relate to dropping 20 elims and still getting flamed for low damage. People see you miss one shot and flame you for the rest of the game.

i had people like this during a game on havana, i was playing mercy (as usual) and my team kept going in one by one 1 v 5 and my tank got mad at me for having less heals than our lucio who was playing moria for the first half of the game. i switched to moria on last point and we lost defence because the tank kept LOSing me. When we switched to attack i swapped to kiriko, ended the game with the most heals in the lobby and yet we didn’t even cap first point. people really need to focus on their own gameplay rather than getting mad and blaming everyone else for a losing game.
If you lose. The stats of everyone on the losing team will be low.
You cant identify a difference in a match where you are all getting destroyed. It doesnt work like that.
Diff only happens when you and the enemy pick the same character and in a fair 1v1 you lose against them.
So when your tank is getting destroyed by 5 people and the rest of your team gets picked its less of a character or role difference and more of a positioning difference.
You shouldn't be playing Mercy with Lucio. Your tank is right on it being a support issue.

Yeah playing support can be so frustrating sometimes. If your team is bad, you have to go full dps bap or moira to try to carry and still get flamed for no heals. If u sit and healbot while ur team gets no picks, u get flamed AND you lose. Really sucks.

Some players are delusional like that, I had a game a few days ago where the enemy Pharah was saying I am cheating because there's no way I could hit those shots on her, and cried in match chat for the whole game about me, and then we lost and my teammate said "Hanzo against Pharah, very smart" during the same time enemy Pharah was having a melt down in match chat.

I'd agree but one big part of the game is counter picking it's a very important thing for the game and competitive modes, a dedicated mode would be cool but it doesn't work well for the game unless you see what the enemy is picking aswsll

Only sniper players understand dmg does not equal being useful, i'd rather pressure the supports than farm useless dmg on tanks as a sniper, if I really wanted to farm dmg, i'd go soldier and to 13k dmg every game hitting the tank

Okay, hear me out. I was playing widow in Circuit Royal map. I killed like 2 people, one who was their main support (moira (zen was alive)), and my team couldn’t push the payload. The next fight, I got 3 picks, both of which was their supports, and my team still couldn’t push payload. Our tank was backlining, and one of our dps kept dying. When I said that my team wasn’t doing anything, they (my team and the enemy) had the audacity to say “you can’t even headshot anyone” when I literally had 12 final blows (14elims) with 1 death, and my team had around 2 elims and around 9 deaths.

The thing is if you are not consistent with a projectile character , it can easily be a loss . I have seen many games from many Hanzos including arrge where the consistency was not there and their enemy dps being hitscan just one it for them
This is right here. Sometimes you're a little off and the enemy teams is just on it. If the switch will likely help your squad, why not do it? You can be the best Hanzo in OW and the matchup still won't be that good going against other top mains in the game.

It is also clear they're not good at the game due to them brining up numbers as if most of Arrge's shots don't end with someone dying in seconds over a dps fluffing damage into a tank for 10 minutes for a better looking scoreboard.
A big sign of a player being in a bracket they don't belong. The moment they mention damage numbers and hanzo in the same sentence is when you know you don't have to take them at all seriously. To get big damage numbers you have to be doing a really mediocre job as a sniper dps due to it taking you so much damage to get effective kills or simply shooting into a tank for meaningless pad.

People love to blame hanzo players because hanzo takes skill to play outside of spamming the same angle. Lots of hanzo pickers in lower elo, even master rank are garbage. Same with widow. They give snipers a bad name. You know anyone who uses stats like that guy does is braindead. We all know they do not reflect your impact on the team (to an extent). People in gold know that. What's funny is that Sombra is not a good pick against that line up. Hanzo is fine. Probably one of the better picks against that lineup on that map regardless of who mains what.

Yeee! I hate stereotypes. I personally have had very positive experience with french players. My most memorable match this season has been my cracked french ana sleeping enemy nano blade 3 times and being so happy it sounded like he was playing season 1 ow1.
