I saw an magazine advertisement for a Hoover Constellation. It was in the Australian Women’s Weekly, March, 1957. “Clean Twice As Far Without Lifting Or Carrying”. “With Exclusive Double Stretch Hose And Swivel Top”.

The first Hoover Constellation was launched in the mid 50s and was in production until the early 80s. The model in this video was manufactured in 1980.
