I might have to try this. Been following other steps where you create the guidelines going up and erase them coming back down. I always end up losing my spot of where I left off and what guard to use to erase what line. I think working your way up and taking out the lines one at a time might be the move for me
I agree with this being the most natural look for most people. This cut will look best on just about anyone. If anyone ever comes to me and doesn’t know what they want, 9/10 I’m giving them a drop fade lol. Or a taper but I enjoy doing drop fades more at the moment.
One open is nearly the same as 1.5 closed, then with 1.5 guard you can get it nearly to a 2 by opening the blade all the way, its easier to blend with the half guards
Yes but zero gaped for most people means to get them very close but to leave the cutting blade a slight bit lower still. Especially as a newer barber you don’t want to be slicing people up
Personal preference brother. Depends on what you’re trying to achieve. I do fades alot so I would zero gap trimmers and leave the clippers. Mainly use the clipper for first bald guideline so it leaves some stubble which is easier to fade. Like he mentions in the beginning of the video. When you zero gap the trimmer, you’ll take all the hair out for the first line, then it’s super hard to remove that bald line if the hair is cut too close to skin. Use the zero gap trimmers to fade below that bald line so it’s easier to fade into. That method has served me well. He’s so right about that. Trimmers work great for line ups, so I’d definitely zero gap it but be sure it doesn’t take skin off. They can get super sharp so be careful
ahahaha sorry children im fully booked 5 days a week, 4wks in advance with clientele from 3yrs old to 90yrs old and they all chose their own haircuts, get in line punk😂😂😂
