Not likely, people have been killing tigers for many different reasons for multiple millennia before the book came out. As soon as humans and tigers met, they've killed each other. Tigers killed people mainly for food, sometimes in self defense. Humans killed tigers usually in defense, but also for food, and for their pelts, as well as in defense for their livestock.
This movie’s CGI is really poor but the tiger looks mid and the jackal has too many facial expressions similar to humans and that’s why the jackals the ugliest CGI creature to ever exist

Tiger got surrounded and hit by a bunch of elephants that are 10 times bigger than him. Got stab once and shot, twice. He’s the real champ in my book

It wasn't though the truth is the entire species of Tigers and Bulls with other animals absolutely despise humans and hunters and want to kill them out of hatred cause of how destructive and evil they are Shere Khan was never evil only trying to kill a younger evil who would destroy and murder everything from the animals to the planet itself Khan was only defending himself and his kind if he was targeting me I would done everything I could to save him I mean even other species of animals have grudges against other animals I except I could never hate them no not animals however I especially don't like people either

@@howler1096 not exactly he had more life in him than you realized he simply killed him cause he's a human and life means nothing to him especially not animals the planet or other humans don't ask me how I know this it's difficult sometimes impossible to argue with Shere Khan impossible to argue with Tigers or Bulls and cows and other animals for not liking humans so I usually stay away from people it's just safer

This movie may get criticism for the CGI from some, but it was a much better story than the Disney version

the hunter didn't mean to shoot mowgli, but hit him unintentionally (the target was Shere Khan, he even reloaded his gun and fired again, this time hitting Shere Khan).
