This ad made me cry last night. I used to do all the things that the kids in this ad did, even though I grew up with the dub of DBZ in the 2000s in England. And yet across time and continents my experience was the same as so many people's. Dragon Ball is a truly generational legend.

Me vejo neste comercial!

I remember learning about Dragon Ball Z through school friends and how they were drawn. I even went through the phase as a 6 year old of trying to learn Ki Control, spiking my hair to try and turn super sayian to constantly nagging my older friend at the time to try and learn what the story is of Dragon Ball Z,to growing up I had DBZBT2 game on Wii (which sucked) but it is my personal favorite DBZ game. Such precious memories.
    From New Zealand.
    Thank you Akira Toriyama

Oh man, everyone done the super saiyan hair in the shower and you know it.
My friends sometimes laugh at me because when I was a kid never saw Disney movies and stuff, because they bothered me acostumed to Dragon Ball. But it was a joy of childhood, playing dragon ball live action with friends on the streets and Super battle 22 and final bout (awful games nowadays but they were the only ones we had and were a blast for us) in home, going to the paper store for photocopy the best pages of my elders brother's DBZ mangas in Japanese for painting, buying collection cards, playing with figures, listening Kageyama's songs in cassette tapes while playing... A joy of childhood.

Master Akira Toriyama, you will be forever missed. You shaped the lives of an entire generation born in the 80's. We all practiced Kaio Ken to muster our strength in our living rooms, bathrooms, school, the streets, everywhere. We all lerned about friendship and loyalty thanks to Goku, and how to overcome every new challenge posed to us as children. May your art live forever, and may you find Zalama and the 7 Dragon Balls one day, journeying in the afterlife.
