- This summer, the Mojave Wasteland will have to the face the greatest threat ever revealed. The Bear and Bull will find themselves forced to work together to deal with a foe the likes of which they had never considered.
And this time, the weed's doing the smoking.
One could accuse us of being late for April Fools, but to be fair, this *is* real game content.

@@xChimkin it's not that demanding, but a lot of areas in the game run poorly kn any system. Camp McCarron HQ building literally has me hitching and going down to 5 fps every 10 seconds whenever I walk in to turn in a mission to General Oliver. Meanwhile everything else in the Mojave runs at 60fps with no vertical tearing.
Don't get me started in the Strip...

I really hope they put in the "Wind Brahman" pet that was cut from the original game for time. if you had Wild Wild Wasteland you could actually buy one from that Nightkin that "sells" them and after that one would sometimes randomly spawn in and roll around you if you were traveling between cities and throw itself at agroed NPCs.

Apparently it's still being worked on. But it's been over FOUR YEARS. You know what we are all better off doing? Just reinstalling the original Fallout New Vegas and modding the heck out of it. That's what I'm going to do soon.

@@Jufa24Jaiz07 that goes for all bethesda games on the ps3. Something w how that console handled memory was awful for devs. Heard sawyer mention in a stream it was a big reason for much of the cut & later patched out content :/
you can make it very stable on PC with all the bugfixes in stability mods if you follow the "Viva New Vegas" guide. Highly recommend. Can run the game over 60 fps without breaking the game haven't had any crashes
i continue to forget this exists and come back to it just to see no updates on when it may be ready

Surprisingly enough, our internal testing has found that on an average PC, you can get about 10k of these things loaded into a scene before you start to see real performance impact.

The fact they are essentially remaking a game free of charge is just amazing, we truly do take modders for granted sometimes and we should appreciate the amount of work these guys put in

So that is how Father Elijah planned to cleanse Mojave all along.
I like to think that an event like this happens if you shoot too many tumbleweeds w/ the wild wasteland perk activated.
Also, I love how this project is turning out! I’m stunned with how much passion and effort has been put into this and can’t wait to see more in the future!
Like with the NCR or the Legion, a group of tumbleweeds hunt you down for crimes committed against them lol

The last big mod was FNV The Frontier, which was horrible. Since then there has been alot of announcements like F4 Miami, F3 Remake mod, F4 London and this. Sadly none have gotten any significant news. Im starting to lose hope for any of these mods
tf are you talking about? the makers of fallout miami are regularly streaming while working on it. last stream was yesterday.
@@theteeve I said any significant news, as in more detailed gameplay or even a close release date. Atleast Fallout London already has a release date and new 18 minutes of gameplay. Fallout Miami has the development streams but this mod has gone completely silent
yeah most mods fail because theres always costs they didn't anticipate occurring
that's what's really fucked about game design, it's not like writing a script where you have a definite beginning and end with planning extra time for revisions, in game design at any moment you can incur a catastrophic problem that no one foresaw that completely halts almost any progress until fixed. the bigger the endeavor the more cataclysmic a bug can be and the more manpower/hours is required

@@MananaMan that's the point he's making, these teams aren't equipped with that type of management to avoid it. So there is indeed little hope because if life happens to any of the bigger devs then the project halts, and/or people move on

@@stronensycharte64 Still working on it. The drama with a certain RUclipsr has put a wrench in plans and cut off a lot of support from other great mod authors. But the project will continue.
@@makeitthrough_ it was a long time ago but we were using systems that were built in tandem with the great mod authors of the Capital Wasteland remade mod team and the Fallout Miami team. They no longer are in workings with our team because of the drama debacle. We have/had to build a whole new leveling system and skill system from scratch.

I have high but hesitant expectations for Fallout 4 Miami as well. I feel like that will be on the same quality.

They post more regularly on Twitter and have released individual New Vegas assets as Fallout 4 mods as recently as February this year. I dunno why they don't feature these smaller updates on RUclips though
