How fitting for Mimic Radagon to drop Rennala's Great Rune, the silver tears mimicked Radagon, popped in Raya Lucaria, swooned Rennala and stole her Great Rune.

Ngl, I was thinking at first "Oh, he can always just cheese Night's Calvary to try and get some runes to at least help level up dex" Then I remembered this was a randomizer, and was like "Wait, nevermind."......
And then he did it anyway.

2:22:30 If I remember correctly, that's an intended mechanic of the fight. Their default arena is bugged out and doesn't let them do it. People have theorised that it's cus they can't do it when they detect awake enemies around them, and their default arena has trash mobs right outside the doors. Or that it's coded to detect 1 enemy (the other godskin) so the trash mobs disable it. But both explanations seem inconsistent.
Been catching up with these recently, hoping to catch them live at some point. Great to see another one. Got the popcorn out

@@YoowlOwl It's apparently a bug in their AI; they'll only do the move when there's one "friend" nearby, any more and the detection fails. The Godskin Duo healthbar counts as an enemy and makes it fail to function, as well as the nearby Banished Knights. Apparently you can see it work in vanilla: go to the one in Dominula, sleep one of the women, and it'll do the wake up call.
I actually like to have Chris in the race. He is like a boss you have to overcome. Makes it all more exciting
Maybe if he wasn't such a sweat and without the constant humble brags, he'd be alright 😂

Super fun to watch I really thought you'd win after that great start but Chris try harding as always I saw his vid and he just spammed dragon halberd but no problem still enjoyed watching keepem coming
man you got me back to watching Elden Ring again with this races that are randomized. Only thing I wish this video had is the counter of great runes for others like you did with your archenemy run.
I actually remember from Vaati doing a video on the Duo that they can wake each other up, but never do in their own arena cause of the knight outside making the flag to see if there is a nearby partner that is awake always returns yes.

loved the whip build ! Very fun to use something different (also since it was clearly meant to be). looking forward to see if Aggy’ll utilise the fact that whips have range lmao (im only half an hour in).
About half way through, just wanna add im surprised at how much talking about the game there was here. Like, i guess fair but was also weird lol.
But so far!! The battles been sooo good. Really loving this run!! Maybe the whips are extra fun or the seed’s just really fckn good for finding 5 GR
I was wondering what Mimic Radagon's music was, but when we found out it was Fortisax's music, I understood why I didn't recognize it. I always blow past that fight because im always overleveled.

All I can say about this build is Aggy decided to really go ham with his S&M roleplay with those dual whips lol.

I really hope they will do more randomizers in the future. I think they are infinitely more fun than bingos and don't require any more preparation to do.

What do they mean when they say no serpent hunter since ive seen aggy use it in other runs where they said the same thing
you may have seen him use it on rykard as it is allowed for just that boss but nowhere else.
@@joshbensoussan2177 isn't serpent hunter really bad against anything that isn't rykard tho? Or does the randomizer change it in some way?
@@8ewm You're kidding right? SH has no stat requirement, with great scaling and one of the best ARs in the game, plus a great moveset. It's literally the only weapon for WR-level speedrunning because it's such a great weapon and very easy to get en route to the fastest somber upgrade route, and gets you an easy and fast shardbearer kill. Even though it loses the special powers outside of the Rykard fight, SH is considered one of the best weapon in the game for low rune-level runs.
@@Dark_Depresion I haven't touched the game in months but I had heard that it sucked unless against rykard but I never tested it.
@@8ewm You do realise you're in the comment section of a video channel run by an Elden Ring speedrunner right? A quick glance at Aggy's other videos or even just their thumbnails would tell you the preferred weapon for speedrunners. Even the videos where SH is not used, it's commonly both considered as a possible weapon or discussed in other fashion.
I'm just saying that unless this is the first Aggy video you've seen (in which case I profusely apologise, and bid you welcome), I find it incredibly weird to not have noticed how often SH is either used or talked about.

They are not important checks, not worth checking unless randomizer settings set to fully randomized which imo would never happen for them.

Why is everyone so mean to Chris lmao. He’s not *that* bad
He’s Goliath and everybody hates Goliath. I don’t think his friends have any beef with him though.
I hate to say it because it IS a group of friends but I enjoy races better when Chris isn't involved, or, if he is, I consider second place the winner. He's good at the game, yeah, really good, but he's not as entertaining because he's not doing it for fun. Aggy is right: he optimizes and finishes first rather than going for a subpar build that he'll struggle with and be actually cool or for the drip.
@@gabriellaagate9942 who said he's not doing it for fun? He's just better at the game, he wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't fun, like he would win against many bosses with not that strong of a weapon, while Aggy would run away and try to get stronger. And that's problematic for the others, because they aren't playing that well, there's also almost no build he'll struggle with, considering he finished the game with -bare- -fists- (it was actually Gino, Chris is just a speedrunner and a challenge runner. Still, Chris does know the movesets very well, so no matter what weapon it is the bosses should not present difficulty). There's no solution for that at all, other than nerfing Chris and making rules specifically for him. I don't think Chris is even thinking that hard about optimization, it's just a normal state for such a challenge runner.
Aggy isn't right about that at all, he was literally salty. If they had the same build he does they would STILL lose, i don't know why he doesn't acknowledge there's simply a huge gap in skill and execution levels. And of course, there's no one definition of fun - it may not be fun for them to beat the game easily, but it doesn't mean it's not fun for him.
@@junkolover9518 The issue is not that Chris wins almost everytime. The issue is that Chris is so fake-humble about it a lot of the time. You can practically hear the smugness off of his voice. Don't misunderstand, if you're that good then you have every right to be smug but it's just going to piss off a lot of people.
@@junkolover9518 Okay, let me rephrase the part about 'fun' at least. I can see Chris having fun, yeah, but I think he only really has fun when he WINS. Like, Chris lives for the challenge, and then succeeding at the challenge.
And I wouldn't say Aggy 'runs away'. That makes him sound like a coward when he's not. That's the whole point of the game: knowing when you can't do something yet, then coming back when you either have better weapons, more levels, or more experience from other encounters. For speedrunners though, I think it's more they have to "get back into the groove" or - barring getting better gear - they have to pray to the RNG gods to give them a fair shot at taking down a boss with subpar equipment.
"No build he'll struggle with" is a bit... Uhm, I wouldn't say THAT. Saying that makes it sound like he never dies, no matter what he wields. I didn't see Chris's perspective during this run but he most certainly, even with whatever weapon combos he had, probably died at least a few times to Godskin Duo RNG, especially since the sleep pot strat didn't work. I don't think having the patience and insanity to finish the game 'bare fists' means he's some sort of unbeatable god at it. I think it just means he has a vast amount persistence, patience, and dedication to the game.
And that goes back to my other point: Chris isn't fun to play with because he's clearly sunk a lot, and I do mean a lot, of hours into Elden Ring over the others. Okay, he's the better player, yeah, but that doesn't make an enjoyable viewing experience. Just like @Eren Yalcin said, Chris is fake-humble. He's a bragger.
Chris is that friend you and your group don't invite over for poker because he's a world champion at it. He's not fun to play against because he's so good and you already know he's going to win so why even bother inviting him? Especially when he acts so annoyingly smug about it.

Firstly I enjoy these races but could be better IMO if you showed clips of the other players streams so we get an idea how close everyone is. Try to create a narrative for the race similar to how some of the pokemon and SM64 races are done of you've seen those

Aggy's chat is so bad. Chris plays to win what's wrong with it? it's a litteral race. They even say he was sweaty because of the checks on screen that is litterally just for better viewer experience. I feel like they must be very young.

Is this really a randomizer? It feels like there are hardly any non-mandatory or achievement bosses throughout the whole game. Shouldn't more dungeon bosses be there? It's a bit boring IMO.
Also, why doesn't aggy kill the weak enemies that replace Mini-Bosses, like the Imp in Leyndell? Wouldn't he give like 60k runes and be very easy to defeat?
I get this feeling every time someone talks ( mostly the girl) in the group aggy is really annoyed.
Seemed like he had her volume too loud and it freaked him out. It also was at boss fights most of the time
It's less when people talk, and more so when they talk a lot since he's trying to either focus on the race or talk to his own chat. In this particular case Bri's (BlueberryBrioche) volume was turned too high on his end and it just kept spooking him.
