The Ys games are typically very short for RPG's. The longest is Ys Seven, which can run from 30 to 40 hours if you don't rush through the game like a speed demon.
Really fun game, I played it on Steam. I missed the voices on the PC version though, what a shame. I see this version has them. Really touching ending as well. I played both this one and Ark of Napishtim. Both really great games!
The destruction of Genos' Island is reminds me of the destruction of Liber Ark at the end of Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter even so it also sad where Chester sacrifice himself to destroy the island, similar to the Trails series sad moment like Loewe sacrifice himself to ensure our heroes can finish him off in Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter or Millium sacrifice herself to save Rean & Altina from imminent danger or something in Trails of Cold Steel 3 for example & go watch this identical scene at the end of Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter in ruclips.net/video/pL52OkwCFHk/видео.html but in Ys there will be no Arseille here

I love this game but that one, little detail is bugging me. XD
Believe me, i've played Ys games where Adol has dialogue and its never good, the narrator instead has its charm

He does get one since Ys: Memories in Celceta... but for grunts and quick speeches, not for actual dialogue.
Because Adol is the narrotor, the games are base on books on his, so he rarelly speaks... and this comment is 9 y old... hi.
