Fantastic video! May I inquire, where is this footage taken? Really enjoy your camera angles, lighting is superb, music fits the mood. So well done, thank you for sharing your talents.
Thanks Derek! There is actually a Q&A going on at the Ikelite Facebook page around this video right now:) Personally I LOVE the Tokina 10-17mm and its what I used for all my videos, nothing else even came close to its versatility and quality and it worked beautifully with the Ikelite setup.
If you are serious about photography then the Canon G series (the G1x for example) are really good as the photographic quality is near DSLR and for macro shots its perfect. I was using a G10 with an Ikelite housing and it delivered awesome results.
Pardon me for swearing, but DAMN, beautiful footage of beautiful (and great) freedivers by a great freediver! Well done sir! Do make more. It's very enjoyable to see people enjoy the water! Thank you!
Very Nice ! I have a 7D also and I am considering the Ikelite housing. I am curious if you you could share what your favorite lenses are for shooting underwater with this 7D setup. Thank you.
hey Jacques, i have been freediving for about 5 years now and i would really like to get better photos and film, ive been using the gopro hero 3 for a while but it just doesn't give me the photos im after, it always seems to focus on the wrong area, is there any compact camera you could recommend for a beginner such as myself and what housing would suit it best ? thanks heaps :)
awsome, i did a freediving lvl 1 training on koh tao. at blue immersion ofcourse ;) it was a really nice experience and not that expensive either. so if your in thailand visit koh tao and dive dive dive!!
Hey I am planning on going freediving in the Keys in about a month. I have never gone freediving and I am wondering if there are any drills or tips you have that could better prepare me for the transition between pool and ocean? My current wet static breath hold record is 4 minutes and 30 seconds. I am confident I can increase my time to 5 minutes by the end of the week. Is this good enough to go freediving?
My dream is freedive.. I think there's another world into the Sea, we have to discover!!
Congratulations!!
Thanks for the awesome feedback Jessie, we will be releasing some new videos in the near future!
