How to Make Millions Solo In Dual Universe

  • Hi everyone! Today I'll discuss how to make quanta in Dual Universe and share my personal approach of setting up an industry process to automate production of big ticket items. Sure, helping other players make these items may drive down their prices, but those have already reduced significantly, and as I discuss in the video, I think the demand for these items will remain high for quite some time.
    Here's a link to the reddit post discussing the ship builder's discord mentioned in the video. / join_the_massively_pop...

    That’s making me rethink about how I make my money.... I truly love your calm and straight to the point manner of explaining how you do things, very easy to understand and follow along. About the people not watching longer videos, I guess I do but that’s just me. A solution might be splitting the industry into “stages”? Either way I’ll end up watching the video if it’s long or short!

      Thank you Brian, I appreciate your kind words. I've split the industry up as you've suggested here, the first video came out a few days ago. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/6PtZy21MBBg/видео.html I'll be making more about how to build up to this, and then, more modules you can add further to warp cells, such as weapons and ammunition

    The weights and volumes of ores is basically broken (I posted about it on the form) Half of the ore's have a mass which is greater than the sum of all the ingredients (yes I'm accounting for the difference in volume as well) which in the real world is impossible but even in the world of DU its silly and devalues refining ore outside of safe zones which turn reduces opportunities for gameplay involving defence and attack of non safe assets.

    Yeah, I did try the industry way (you can watch my videos on that) - didn't like it - too much hassle. What I am doing now is quite simple: I fly to a certain planet, it takes me a few hours (a time which I don't have to be ingame of course). When I get there I mine a certain T3 ore. Which takes me a few hours. Then I fly back to Alioth - another few hours (again in this time I can do other things in life). And then I sell the ore. This way I am making ca. 16 MILLION per day. And I found this is a much simpler and highly efficient way to earn 10+ millions per day as a solo player.
    I bloody HATE all the industry-organization-pvp aspect of this game. As I mentioned in one of my videos, the slogan of this game is REBUILDING the civilization, not destroying it. I would quite like it more for there to be much more emphasis on exploration and other aspects of the game, to ensure the longevity of the game and make it interesting to play for YEARS to come.
    Right now though, the only gameplay is to make some money, and the only way to do that is basically mining/industry, and that is super unfortunate because it is turning this SPACE game (which should be fascinating and should be about exploration of space, new worlds and phaenomena) into just another giant industry clusterf*ck.

    • @ShamsTales
      @ShamsTales  4 года назад

      The advice in this video is : Sell Raw Ore, or build a big ticket item (of your choice) to sell instead or on top of the ore. The example used in this video (territory scanner) has fallen in price by 200,000 quanta per unit since this guide came out which is a slower rate of decline than before the video. I think it's a good idea to make money making guides to help everyone in the community with thoughts on how to get involved and build up their own enjoyment of the game.

  • @EQRuges
    @EQRuges 4 года назад

    Selling territory scanners is just going to hurt you long term. First it drives down the price of them. This makes it assessable to more players. More players are going to be able to scan more tiles. This hurts you in 3 ways. 1, makes it more likely they will find a supernode before you, thus creating less supernodes for you. 2, now that they can get ore more efficiently they will no longer need to buy it or the components that it turns into. 3, even worse they can now use that ore to compete with you on the market, exacerbating the problem. Making PVP stuff on the other hand, that increases your profits.

    • @ShamsTales
      @ShamsTales  4 года назад

      I don't disagree with your assessment, but I do feel the players who want Territory Scanners will get them one way or another anyway, and I view my main competition for finding super nodes to be big organisations with organised mining operations. I also welcome increased competition into the market, it makes the game as a whole more accessible to the community, let more people find super nodes, let people progress and advance, it's good for the health of the game. As for selling pvp items, yeap, that's exactly what I'll be doing after I finish making the general factory guide video (hopefully tomorrow)

  • @Charlouf_
    @Charlouf_ 4 года назад

    yeah something is wrong in this economy.
    For new players :
    just mine > get a bigger ship
    mine > buy 1/2/3 scanner and warp drive
    Then mine T3/T4 on other planets , sell it for more money.
    There is no way to make money if you havent advanced skills in production.

    • @ShamsTales
      @ShamsTales  4 года назад

      As a solo player, yes, you're limited, but if you want to do industry, there's nothing stopping you. You can even eek out a bit more profit out of your ore. But, on the whole, I don't disagree, the game's economy revolved around mining. I would add though, mining super nodes is the way to go once you've got three scanners, right here on Alioth.

    • @ShamsTales
      @ShamsTales  4 года назад

      Heh, mining is not for everyone, but everyone has to do it sadly. Yes, the extremes of the market, I feel, are where the money is at. Either sell ore, or mine and process it into a high ticket item, or something like warp cells, ammunition, etc. The simplest way, naturally, is to mine and sell your ore. At the very least though, I'd suggest have your own ship building, container, industry units etc. facility.

    • @siathfreeport9668
      @siathfreeport9668 4 года назад +1

      I will add I sell to bots lol l, I have a massive factory that atm produces nothing since I sell ore. Atm I have 4 voxelmancers each working on custom ships for money. Like 5000kl of a t1 is over 100k

    • @ShamsTales
      @ShamsTales  4 года назад

      @@siathfreeport9668 Heh, it's not a bad idea! I've got a coal and hematite super node scanned on Alioth and claimed, and I'm looking for Quartz and Bauxite, so if I sold those, you're looking at what, 120, 130 million or so? But, I'd rather keep the ore for now and make cool things instead, especially since I'm making content geared towards self-reliance in industry. But, if you're looking for raw quanta, selling ore is good way. I'd need to do the maths to see if it's the most efficient, but, in any event it is a good expenditure of time for quanta.

    Characterssssssssssssssss = not solo

    • @ShamsTales
      @ShamsTales  4 года назад

      I take your point, but nothing in this guide requires multiple characters. Being passable at minining/piloting is about a week's training, and focusing on refining to produce one big ticket item is about another week. You're less agile without a second account being a generalist industrial character, but, it's doable. Also, if you want to say, focus hard on only mining and a bit of piloting to haul your ore, you can focus on the entry end of the market with ore and quanta that way.

    • @Reginaldesq
      @Reginaldesq 4 года назад +1

      @@ShamsTales Thanks for the reply. Single item is a good idea. I'm currently producing a Territory scanner right now, mostly because I didn't want (and could not afford) to pay for one :) However, I have noted, things change very quickly in this game. Territory scanners might not be profitable in a few days time. But, I guess we have to try.

    • @ShamsTales
      @ShamsTales  4 года назад +1

      So, in the few days since I last replied, territory scanners fluctuated between 1.9 mil and 2.2 ish mil. There's still profit there. But, if you take your scanners and find a super node with them, you can make plenty of money selling that ore, or use the ore to build industry for say, warp cells or weapons to sell. Question is really how best to go about enabling yourself to have the most fun.
