By far the biggest issue I have are the light cones. I can take on have a stronger character every now and then, I can save up. But having them come with broken light cones that surpass anything before even for 5 stars and not have them viable on a lot of characters because they are very specific is absolutely trash
I fully concur, light cones in hsr are parallel constellations, not really weapons that can be switched around
LC in both genshin and hsr are nothing you rly need at all. Except for JY LC that have too much stats and make any followup erudition playable. I played HI3 Genshin and HSR, i have 0 signature weapons in Genshin and HSR and clear all content for max reward first time after 4 months from release, and since then always get 30* in HSR and 36* in Genshin without any 5* weapons. And in HI3 i have all signature weapons on all meta characters as F2p because all you need to do in HI3 is wait big events where you just spent what you save for 3-5 patches and get full set+ weapons for 2-4characters, but the thing is you dont even need any of this because you will get max rewards even with random trash here too, just dont lvlup your account after you get lvl81, because lvl88 was made for whales and all they get for it is less than 10wishes per YEAR, lol.

@@mcbill7352 Nah. Koko is miles better and more Meta defining compared to Zhongli reactionless Noninteractive boring playstyle. Zhongli is nowhere near Koko level in terms of utility. All Zhongli does better is arguably survivability which Koko is better against wolf corrosion. I swear Zhongli is so overrated.

I was about to get Jingliu but with the way the game is trending, I think I wont be pulling anymore characters for the foreseeable future lol. I just go for the last few character to be released at the end of the game and be done with it.

Idk how or why but my Gepard (all relics +15) with Lynx feels comfier in the SU Swarm compared to my Fu Xuan (all relics +15) with Lynx. When my Fu Xuan has less than 3/4s of her HP, a buffed up Automaton Grizzly will oneshot her so much easier than when I have my Gepard which never gets oneshot. I know it's kinda skill issue but again, I'm talking about comfiness here. So yeah I don't think powercreep, even on supports is THAT bad. Eidolon power creep is whale problems.

Very true on Support power creep. I don’t think any dps for now and for 1.4 that’s going to power creep Imbibitor Lunae. Jingliu dashes out same damage as Blade but the only thing being that ice weakness is kinda rare to run into on enemies

Jingliu is way more powerful than blade if you saw her leaks. Some say she is IL level, or even better. But we shall wait for her to release and THEN we can all see. :)

do u have another good carry? if u do.. i think u should get Fu... she is just that good... im saying that because u dont have luocha soo right now i think the only realiable solo sustainer u have is gepard... if u had gepard and luocha u could skip Fu... but on the other hand... we will get another 5* abundance really soon.... really hard choices to make lol... but either way i think u would be happy (getting fu or jing liu)

Don't go for Jing yuan, he has the best relics of my units by far, and his lightning lord barely hits 40k sometimes, the only unit i really regret going for

If there's a silver lining to healer/sustain powercreep it's that you only really need 2 of them.
So long as they can keep your time alive in an efficient matter (which Fu and Luocha can do very well) you dont really need more. Where as DPS can get power crept a lot harder.

Gepard will never get powercrept until the r5 3 star Defense lightcone exists.
Fu Xuan does not powercrept Gepard . She powercrept Fire MC .
I would say she made him more niche. Fu Xuan's sustain is just way better.
Gepard's shield can't work well with fast characters or adv forward mechanics.
But he is definitely needed for characters who prefer shields, like Yanqing and Arlan. Other teams would gladly take Fu Xuan over him.
But if the player already has Gepard, there is no real reason to get Fu Xuan, unless you like her.

If you have Clara or blade yes, anyone else and you're completely at the mercy of rng, one thing goes wrong and your entire run is kaput
Every abundance can. However, the problem with most solo sustain characters (besides Bailu) is that they can’t prevent rng one shots

I find it hard to talk about support powercreep currently when we have only one limited abundance character and only one limited preservation, so the only ones they "powercrept" are standard 5*. But like that's obvious, limited characters will be stronger than standard characters and like there's no powercreep in that

I'm gonna be honest: pulling eidolon for 5* is not something most player are going to do, unless they really like that character or spend. I dont really see Eidolon as a legitimate powercreep point because of how expensive it is. Then again, I'm using the same standards as in HI3rd, where unless the S rank unit in question is farmable, they have a complete kit at base rank and every rank up is a bonus that makes them better.
I see eidolons as a "catch up" mechanic for older units. If every new dps does slightly more damage than the last then going for eidolons of a unit you already use can cover up that missing damage instead of pulling for the new unit. It's also why the utility units gives even more utility for their eidolons.
@@hel9157 Yes, that's also how it works in HI3rd, although I'd still rate pulling new unit over Eidolon because usually new units are going to bring something unique to the table, and having more options is usually going to be more meaningful than doubling down on the ones you have--unless you are always short on resources, which is its own separate and valid consideration.

Another day, another reminder why I never use auto
Here is the thing. Even though new characters are gonna be stronger won't mean that old ones gonna be useless. Well, at least until 2 new strong guys come out. Even if 5 star aoe Tingyun is gonna appear, we will still gonna use Tingyun, cuz she is a 4 star and will still fit in every team, plus, there is no realy reason for aoe Tingyun, except for prob follow-up teams with Topaz or if you use Jingliu, Blade and Himeko or someone else at the same time. In theory, aoe Tingyun seems op, but in reality, we have Asta. New support characters now mostly don't replace anyone, they open new roles. And 4 stars here are much better than in genshin where only 3 are irreplaceable (Bennett, Xiangling and Xingqiu who I don't use at all), while others either have someone better in 5 stars or not needed. In hsr, mostly only Herta, Hook and Arlan are not used that much cuz they are mostly deal dmg, and in dealing dmg 5 stars are better, plus Yukong is niche and Natasha is powercrept by Lynx in my opinion. Everyone else has a clear role and use, and everyone else can be used and mostly can't be replaced. Sampo, Luka and Serval are used in Kafka dot teams, plus Serval is not entirely bad as sub or main dps, better than Arlan, Qingque is in the same boat as Serval, sub or main dps and is not bad, March is very good shielder, Tingyun is Tingyun and Asta with Pela are very good. Natasha is not bad either, but Lynx has a place in mono quantum and removes debuffs from everyone with ult, plus buffs taunt for preservation and destructuon units like Blade, fire mc and Clara. But Natasha is completely free for every account, and not everyone has Lynx yet. Luocha is better, but that doesn't mean Lynx or Natasha are bad. And Bailu is kinda powercrept and inability to remove debuffs hinders her, but she has highest potential heal with both ult and skill. So, you can't say she is worthless. Not now at least. Or that any other 4 star is worthless. I only kinda fear for Luka with Guinaifen, since she seems super destructive for Kafka dots, and Luka might get overshadowed by her, but he will still be better on bosses. He will still have a role and place in teams.
So, no, powercreep doesn't exist yet. Neither for supports or sub dps. But for dps, most new dps are stronger than previous. But they have special conditions to be effective and require their team comps, even if they are differenr by 1 team member and have different playstyles. Seele is Seele, true hypercarry, Qingque, as I said, can be both main or sub dps, just as Blade or Clara, but they are not using skill points that much, so they can give them for supports. Kafka dot is completely different story, as I feel is gonna be Topaz follow-up team. Imbibitor is the most sp negative character in the game, mostly being used with Pela and Tingyun since they don't drain sp like Yukong or Asta or Bronya, and cuz those 2 are op in general, but you still can use more sp draining characters with him.

Devs pushing powercreep on characters is worrisome because we don't know how it Will affect overall content. Thats ultimately the crux of the problema.

@@angelswarz8995 kinda, but at least for now, it is too early to be worried in my opinion. And, plus, hoyos not exactly trying to make a hard game. The only content that powercreep may make hard is memory of chaos, and even still, you will be able to defeat it with chars you like. If you build them with good relics, that is. The same is for spiral abyss in genshin, though abyss is much harder and you may not be able to beat every floor with 1 team comp. Story content, on the other hand, won't be affected by powercreep as much.

Building sr units seems like a complete waste of resources nowadays especially for dps. the new units that come out are just straight upgrades but in a different element. like there's so little point burning resources on qingque when inhibitor is basically her but better and removing the rng factor, i wish they'd at least make them comparable at e0 vs e6 or have something the ssr doesn't have but meh. the only thing that makes them worthwhile is the elemental coverage but that's going to run out overtime

If you played other Turn Based Games (like FGO) well, nothing new. Supports are the key to victory. You can't do shit if you're dead or unbuffed

Bruh, Fu Xuan's constellations are more broken. E1 is a massive crit dmg buff. E2 revives a fallen ally. E4 increases her battery massively. E6 makes her ult do massive damage adding up to120% max health damage to ult. And since she batteries better with E4, she will ult a lot more. ER rope on her and skill spam plus E4 will make ult spam real easy. And we can't forget she has plenty of crit rate for free, so you can totally get use out of E6 without investing gear stats. She's not just a support that makes almost any comp able to survive indefinitely, adding damage stats, revives an ally that manages to die. She's also a sub dps.
E2 is useless, her teammates never die, she’s the one that dies especially on high aoe dmg in swarm V

@@Rachitdubey @Rachitdubey I don't know if I remember correctly, but it might be that the hard cc effect asks twice, first it needs to pass his trace, then eff res. So the chance of it happening is (1 - his trace)*(1-eff res), which in your case, I believe is 0.65 * 0.23 chance of getting crowd controlled. Something about 12 or 13% chance.

Just 20-30% CR is enough for her cause she gives 50% CR when she activated her talent, so focus on Crit Damage.

That’s way to much you can at max get 181 speed with 5 speed rolls on 5 different pieces plus hackerspace and speed. To get 200 speed you need the meditation LC on someone for the additional 20 speed. Aiming for 134+ is good enough really cause that’s the main speed breakpoint you need to meet for two turns any more then that is for speed tuning purposes, 0cycles and things of that nature

As F2P, I shouldn’t be able to auto Swarm 5. I mean it’s cool that I can. However, there’s no doubt Fu, Luocha and Gepard are broken supports and have officially made the game hilariously easy. I would build other supports, but then I’ll be dry on resources for new units I pull for

That's why its better to aim now for 2 limited 5* preservation and abundance chars for each,who gonna have harmony utility to make future better dps unkillable and stronger and don't stress trying to pass hard content with 4* healers,in fu case 5* harmony who can heal if leaks about hanabi true:)

In my humble opinion, I don't think HSR really has "powercreep" the way Code has put it here.
His examples are Luocha and Fu Xuan. Their only competition are Bailu and Gepard, 2 standard banner characters. Limited characters being leagues better than Standard characters isn't really powercreep.
I think it's only powercreep when Limited characters start stomping on *each other*. Like, if the next Abundance outclasses Luocha then we can have the powercreep conversation.

its because you can't dodge attacks cuz turn based gameplay is cringe
so defensive options get higher value unlike genshin where healers succ ass generally
DPS in starrail suffer the same fate in genshin they have no pull value cuz they are generally the same damage just different element or way to deal it
overall starrail is much much worse than genshin when it comes to the end game also more grinding artifacts/talents aka relics and traces
Agree with everything except artifact/relic grinding and endgame content. Endgame on Star Rail is a lot more enjoyable mostly due to less exploration and content (because it’s a new game obv) Star Rail has Simulated Universe + Swarm Disaster and Memory of Chaos and Genshins endgame being the Spiral Abyss is nothing but a damage check with enemies that have more hp than Storm Terror. The Devs don’t feel like adding endgame because they want players to explore the entire map because genshin is an open world rpg. So I guess their other endgame can also be exploration as well but genshin devs made an excuse for Genshins lack of Endgame because “they don’t want to give players anxiety”. And Although yes artifact/relic is a huge pain, Star rail gives out Self Modeling resin where you can choose your own main stat (but you can still get bad substats if unlucky) while all genshin has is a strongbox that is still rng based on main stat and substats.

turn based games are all the same with the same stat checks if you meet them you win if you don't you lose
and with artifact system that you say is better than genshin but its really not even with self modeling resin thats a recipe for disaster
oh and you say that abyss enemies have inflated HP when swarm disaster is just stacking up path cards and curios just to meet the stat check to the point where your relics don't even matter lmao
it took genshin years to slowly introduce these enemies but you just got it right away with starrail
SU was fun for the first 2 updates but it plays the same and ends up like the same chore that players complained about with artifact grinding taking too long in genshin
and lets be honest after you are done with swarm disaster and its rewards you are never gonna touch it just like genshin players never go back to old explored areas
atleast with genshin every new area is unique unlike starrail who copy pastes all of its 4 locations
but still i agree that genshin's abyss got quite stale even with new enemies every update
having a gamemode that SU that will also become stale is still better than nothing
@@MojtaAS agreeable but we’re also getting another update on sim universe which “supposedly” has infinite levels but I don’t really believe that’s the case. If it is then it be kinda dope
@@MojtaAS also I mainly like turn based games because I grew up playing them. From Final Fantasy 3 all the way up to persona. I can still accept people’s dislike to it because there isn’t that many buttons to press and it can get bland every now and then lol.

genshin is kinda slow but i still can move my characters freely and do some micro but its not much better than starrail button wise XD
i'm waiting for wuthering waves and zenless zone zero cuz i think those games have the right amount of action but not too much action like punishing gray raven
Sorry to be blunt, but hoyo doesnt care about producing a balanced game, they just want your money. Genshin only dodged power creep because they’re confident in it lasting long term, and long term returns for genshin will be/ have been huge.
