KAMI - Folk Songs & Dances

The Kami community is known for making Khukhri, a traditional knife-like weapon used by most Hill communities in the Himalayan region of Bengal and Nepal. They are adept in making decorated metal utensils, handcrafted Tibetan prayer items made from metals with intricate designs, traditional jewelry, etc. The community performs Maruni dance during auspicious occasions like Laxmi Puja.
