I know it would be big money and an insane undertaking but I’d probably swap the Whipple for a 2.3 or 2.65 TVS, swap in a PBH 6R80, install the rear seats and AC, and other things to get the GT500 more streetable. But, it would probably piss me off to where I would want to sell it.
Alex, you are sounding like an old man (not in a bad way). The more you mess with your cars, the more hassles you encounter and the more frustrated you get. There is a reason why modding cars is a young guys game. Us older guys prefer cold AC, working wipers, being able to turn corners when we want, and stone cold reliability. You are starting to sound like every other car person, with a bunch of project cars, and your favorite one is just a bone stock Vette. Welcome to the club. 😏

Besides the manifolds the entire hot side on the kit I designed for my car takes maybe an hour or 2 to install or uninstall no re wiring no deleting ac or sway bar. Only thing I had to do was make a new windshield fluid reservoir and relocate the horns. Took 2 designs and a lot of back and forth to get it to fit the way I’d like. Now I’m talking to nardi and junior to see where they want the placement of maf, o2s ect.
This might be a really dumb question, but have you considered putting a 6R back in the GT500? I know it had a 6R80 in it at one point of its life before you owned it. It would still be blazing fast, would probably be cooler (temperature wise) than a T56 or TR6060 (my 2014 bolt on GT500 was always very warm near the trans tunnel near my legs), and would be comfortable as hell with ac and an auto. Depending on how everything fits, you may even be able to find someone with a Gen 1 or gen 2 that has a 6R and wants to go to a 400 that would want to trade you with cash on top for the driveline assembly
The trans probably drips cause a dumbass like my brother probably used a screwdriver to remove the seals and gouged up the surface. It'll never stop leaking!
Some more stock/NA content would cool with the white car. Tbh, I’d leave it like that too, built GT500, boosted F150, ZR1 is eventually going to be an 800hp car, wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a mild mannered car with all the creature comforts. Edited: the more I think about it, see if the complex kid can give you his stock manifolds so you won’t have to come out of pocket and maybe sell it after. If not you can mess with the GT500. More content unfucking the GT500 so it’s more attractive to buyers if you still want to sell after. But you’re right, a car has to go and having 2 mustangs kind of puts one on the chopping block.
I was excited to see you install a BL fab kit as that's what I'm going with. however my car is primarily going to be a drag car, TH400, built motor, etc. so I'll have to pull the motor anyways to do all the work, I was already considering taking AC out of the car but still thinking about trying to keep it in there.
More people need to hit a road course at least once. We only had a week long class in the police academy but it helped my normal day to day driving immensely.

I blew my engine with this kit, with so much frustration (not at turbo kit) ive wanted to sell my car. but I believe its impossible with how chopped up I had to make my car for it to fit the turbo kit to return it too stock. I was lucky enough to already have engine out when doing all the wiring relocating. I spent months installing working a full time mon-saturday job with a family too. I also relied on facebook forums for the install on vague instructions.
Please keep the white car! Gen 3 stick car content is so hard to find, especially turbo. But do whatever makes sense financially to you Alex. It's your decision at the end of the day.
Beefcake not giving you straight answer about wiring. I have lengthened wiring before many times. Or fixing major harness that had melt down oh fun. Older vehicles harness no long made or still can get them but take 3 to 6 months special order. Then cost of that harness too. It's far harder to do this in vehicle too
Definitely an expensive lesson. Sorry you had to go through that experience too. I think more people will definitely go blower because of these videos. I could have got a 2650 or even a vmp gen2 2300, and been happy. I'm going through the same thing on my install. I definitely did not want to give up A/C. I got rid of my sway bar when it was a nitrous car. I was warned about the A/C, but the most fuastrating part is definitely the wiring.
Screw that turbo kit. I would've burned the car by now, out of frustration. The s550 platform is actually comfortable, stops turns and is a true grand touring car, why screw it up. Bumper exit exhaust is ghetto af. That's sloppy mechanics ls channel

Sell the GT500, ZR1 is the badass car, HushMoney can wait a while cause you’re still not sure, truck is getting the ESS, and I’d personally say the white car with a turbo kit still but definitely not a “BLshit” one or keep it NA and beat on it for a while
My hellion sleeper kit was an easy install. The fuel system was more of a hassle than the kit. They gave me step by step instructions. They missed about about 3 steps but with a few calls John helped me out
I think cause u have the car apart u should get another kit all the effort u have already put into that car it should be finished up with a turbo and the only one I know with good instructions is hellion u may not be a fan but I bet its 100x better than that kit u have
Haven’t finish watching the live so I don’t know what conclusion you came to but I would sell the kit and get an Aldo kit. Don’t think “discarding” half the car and messing with wiring is worth it
