Tasty Holiday Dipped Wafer Cookies! Baking with Kids

Dipped Wafers are not only a hit at any school holiday party (because they are absolutely delicious!) but they are also super simple to make for even our littlest bakers! They're an easy, adorable, kid-friendly, crowd-pleasing festive treat that can even be made last minute if need be. Adored by both kids and grown-ups alike, a platter of these beauties will disappear in a flash. What are we waiting for, friends? Let’s go to the kitchen!

Now, LET’S MAKE DIPPED WAFERS
Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make this kitchen project.
Ingredients:
-Wafer cookies (we use vanilla but you can use any flavor you like!)
-Red and green candy melts
-White chocolate chips (or white candy melts, your choice)
-Christmas sprinkles of your choice.
-Vegetable oil
Here’s what you do:
-Melt your candy melts in the microwave for about one minute and 30 seconds (it’s easiest if you use a glass that is deep enough to submerge the entire cookie in).
-To thin out your candy melts add a teaspoon of vegetable oil until you reach the consistency you want. Every candy melt melts differently, so use your best judgement.
-Once your candy melts are ready to go, dip your wafer cookies in.
-Then, while the candy or chocolate is still soft it’s time to add the sprinkles. You can either sprinkle them on or dip them like we do in the video.
-Set them aside and keep going.
-That’s it! Once all of your wafers are decorated, place them in the fridge to help speed up the setting time.
Once the melted candy has set, it’s time to enjoy your treats, take them to a holiday party to share, or give them as gifts!
