I feel the original had songs that are great mixed with other songs that weren’t so great and I wasn’t crazy about the track listing. It didn’t progress well for me.
This is awesome in its own right. The original album is great but I think most Volta fans wished for something more like this. I hope that their next album expands upon this sound and takes more of a nod from their older stuff. Either way I'm here for it!
I appreciate it. I posted these to The FB Volta2023 Group as well as Reddit and got roasted with negative comments. I’m currently re-doing Noctourniquet as we speak.
How did you do it? Did you separate the tracks, then put each one into your DAW and make your own mix there? I can't say I really like it, but yeah, it's a little better than the original. And you, in any case, well done
@@Benprogfusemainly in que dios, I think their volume might be contributing to the cheese factor too tho, they’re jumping right out of the mix and maybe having them more subdued would make it less obvious
@@SaintBeatrix That was intentional at the time. It pans left, then right, then centers. You’ll notice it blends pretty well when it moves toward center.
@@SaintBeatrix I also did this one very quickly, in Sept 2022, back when the album was released, for the purpose of extending the song. I later placed it on the full reimagined album without making further updates.
Damn Blacklight’s got a different feel, nice job!
Thanks! I’m re-doing Noctourniquet as we speak and plan to release it soon.
Chills at the transition into Graveyard Love. This is really cool!
Dope how you used Blank Condolences to transition into Graveyard!
Forever my favorite strange brother from the East.
Holy shit this is so much better than the original mix
Thanks. I posted this to Reddit and got nothing but negative comments about it. I'm currently re-doing Noctourniquet as we speak.
@@Benprogfuse the problem is that you posted it to Reddit. Keep up the good work man 👍
@@scriminamp Haha very true
@@BenprogfuseI remember you posting it. I loved it. Thanks for doing this for a band we all love. Keep it coming.
@@christopherlopez2491 Thank you for appreciating this. I’ve done this with Noctourniquet and am about 87% finished.
You did an amazing job. Would love to hear more TMV reimaginings
Thank you! There are more on my page. I’ve also done the Noctourniquet album, but haven’t posted it yet.
I like this, this is still pretty damn good ^^
It definitely feels different so good job on that. Still much prefer the original though. Don't really get the hate for it

Graveyard Love - is much better. Great! thank you!

Wtf boi you did ya Thang on this. So much funk revealed in this edit
Thanks boi. I put a lot of work into these. Please feel free to share it with your friends.

Yes, I isolated each track. Imported them into Pro Tools, then mixed them. I also added my own parts where I thought they were needed.
I’ve also redone Noctourniquet but haven’t posted it yet.
@@Benprogfuse I started doing something like this a long time ago, but never finished anything, too little free time
@@dimayurkovetsky4060 That has been my issue as well. Need to find the time.
@@Benprogfuseyes please!
The synthetic horns are a little cheesy tbh but I know you’re just working w what u got so I’m trying not to judge it too harshly
The horns on which part?

I love that you jumped right into Qué Dios Te Maldiga Mí Corazón and made an extended version of it. That's exactly what should've been done!
If you notice, I also added horn sections to this version of Que Dios Te Maldiga Corazon
I feel like, ever since noct omar trying too hard to hide his guitar work
