    not sure why tim says not to use braided grounding strap outside. I have used it for over 40 years and never had a corrosion issue. maybe because i will coat my strap in silicone or coat the braid in oil 2 or 3 times a year when i do my walk around checking connections.to include any kind of tilt base bolts/nuts anything near the ground. but some times ill go 2 or 3 years between spraying them. i lived in extremely salty area's (Florida) 100 yards from the ocean and never had issues with corrosion on my braid. plus i use anti seize on all my connections/nuts/bolts etc. i got the idea of using braid from the military that is what we used matter of fact my braid came from the military surplus yard i have several hundred feet of it to use. i think mine is 3/4" wide and i cut and soldier ends to fit. but Tim is right all Eqt should be grounded.

      I use the same thing, also use it for bonding parts of my station, my car etc..
