Thanks!! The more Dr. Kwon explains the rope drill, the more it helps me!! Like the young woman I’m beating myself up with it. I stopped the video and kept my arms straightener plus added more shoulder turn. Much better now.
@@grahamjones7371 as I say great for tempo but also flexibility and speed. There are additional techniques to add but this as a core is one of the best training aides.

This drill is really works. I bought this rope (original that I bought in Korea) . I finally realized that my swing is pretty stiff and I corrected right. And furthur more, you can realize the timing of transition and downswing. Try it, but the rope has to be right length and weight.
Dr. Kwon, no doubt many of us can do these drills in practice but what happens when we face the pressure on the course? For example, often we don't let the top of the swing mature long enough and we rush from the top - we early extend, pull, cut across the ball. All bad things. What drill or thought can you give us to help us ON THE COURSE to allow the top of the backswing to mature and allow proper weight back to the front foot?
Just came across this video. Made my own training rope and straight away felt a massive difference. Going out this afternoon to out this technique on the golf course.
@@goutfromfriedokra3936 It did work and helps you build a good rhythm. I use this rhythm as my practice swing before each shot. Helped me increase my yardage. Thank you

It appears he has a hand driven release as opposed to a body driven release in this method. I have seen other videos where he talks about the release being out and up to the right as opposed to the left hand/body release. Would this be correct?
@@BEBETTERGOLF Thanks, I'll try your suggestion. I've watched quite a few of his RUclips classes, and even some of his one on one student's struggle to do the moves properly.
People struggle with the dynamic motion of re-centering. It's "walking away from your hands" so to say. The step drills can help teach the feeling but it seems like you either have it or you don't.
Ill be honest, you probably are not doing these drills near enough time, you need to do them for at-least an hour every single day. Also, with these drills start with an abbreviated pitch motion, don’t just start with full range on these drills.
All Dr Kwon had to do was to tell Karol to “level out” her shoulders some as she swung the rope. But I’m not convinced that this rope drill has any merit at all anyway. Why not teach her to feel the club head being controlled by her left hip?
Props on the thumbnail for this video lol. Gotta do what you gotta do for views on RUclips, I don’t blame you. It’s a dog eat dog world out there.
He should change his name to Dr. Pimp.
The lovely lassie is a quick learner, lucky son.
Dr. Kwon is an awesome golf mechanics coach. He knows right away if there are any breaks in the swing. Buying a rope today.
If I’m the coach “no yoga pants we must focus people!” 😂
