We are born physical beings with an identity of our fallen nature, but chosen by God before the foundation of the world led by the Holy Spirit through the blood of Christ. At baptism, we receive the Holy Spirit, and become renewed. Then we are formed and conformed into the very image of God ( our Father) through Jesus ( the Word) BY the renewing of our mind FOR His glory
They wanted Jesus to prove in the outer world who he was, instead of people knowing who Jesus is by contacting the God, monad within. The key is an outer sign, or inward sign.
