TBH my favourite modern McLarens in terms of looks are the 720s and 12C, not really a fan of the P1 and its inspired designs. Wish they went more 720s with this one but I do like the side intakes.
Those headlights are miles better than the ones in the 720s. Still functions well, but preserves the McLaren sinister-looking shape! Perfect. As for the business model... yikes. I get the car, but they are rolling out cars like they're Porsche

Big fan of the styling, both inside & out. Really seems like a greatest hits combo. There’s a bit of Elva & 720S at the rear, 650S at the front & the overall familiar 570S shape. Great evolution, can’t wait to hear that new V6 & also see the car in different colours, especially blue. Amazing vid as always ✌🏻
McLarens have always looked too busy for my taste so I like how they’ve cleaned up the shapes with the styling. That side window in profile is very pretty.
Something about the way Henry talks, the background music, and the videography makes Carfection videos so soothing to watch. It has that "curling up on a cold winter morning with a cup of coffee to watch your favourite car video" vibes.
When I first heard it was a V6 I was immediately put off, but when he said it’s a 120 degree hot V I am suddenly interested. It’s nearly a flat six with the exhaust and turbos essentially at the top of the engine with the intake on the bottom. Sounds really interesting.

I do love cars…. But there are way too many of them to keep track of ! I remember when Ferrari used to put out 1 or 2 cars a year …. There was only one bmw m5 ! C63 really did have a 6.2 litre v8 ! I guess with more choice more power to the people I guess …. But it just ends up making all the less special…. I don’t want a super car to be outdated in 6 months like an iPhone !

It looks JUST like a 570 with the face of a 720. Like, literally. It’s almost less imaginative than when they put the front of the P1 on the 12c for the 650s. I think it looks really good but... come on, give us something new.
I personally think the design of the car looks really good in some areas whilst other areas arent. For example, those fender louveres look like an afterthought in the design department; it just doesn't flow

Apparently, McLaren have a new quality control department, and all cars made so far this year are rock solid! I hope that is true, because if it is so then Ferrari will go bust...

@@einautofan6685 Yeah sure. Keep telling that yourself and maybe its going to be true at some point in the future. Apparently you missed that this car here also has a completely new monocoque which is essentially the main part in it. Different chassis, different engine, different setup, everything different besides a similar look but hey THAT is all the same as a 570S, but the MASERAAAATI is so much more than a 4C (even though the development started on that chassis - look it up you expert).
10 year corrosion warranty, 6 year battery warranty and 5 year all round car warranty is huge news. Hopefully it will ease new and eventually used buyers concerns a little. As long as the car delivers on its promises and dealerships do their part. I really hope McLaren manage to turn the ship around with the Artura.
Who knows, perhaps there will be a non hybrid Artura to replace the 540C and widen that gap within the various sport series models a little bit. The 570S and 540C were way to close to each other.
Can’t tout its eco credentials though. Nor pass the emissions tests. Ironically having more motors and being heavier is apparently Greener because it can produce less emissions by driving it in a way no one ever will. Go figure.

And, was great to hear how McLaren seems genuinely interested in standing behind their product with updated warranty. Hopefully, the US dealers will equally receive McLaren’s support.

@@yt_Ajay_ In my opinion a sports car should be light. The hybrid battery pack adds power but also weight, so it is not the good direction. The same problem for the Ferrari SF90: 1000 HP but almost 1.700 kg... This can't be the right path... (1.100 kg and 700 HP would be the right direction, but only Gordon Murray seems to know that...).
The warranty is very appealing for this McLaren...I've always appreciated the styling of most McLaren products...but this seems more pure..and the tech and engineering is exciting...can't wait to hear it...so far it seems like a McLaren easier to live with and I'm nerding out for the Android Auto..great video Henry, as always..👍

Synthetic fueled ICE would be a better path to eliminate the continued emissions to mine copper. Just dumb.
@@yt_Ajay_ In my opinion a sports car should be light. The hybrid battery pack adds power but also weight, so it is not the good direction. The same problem for the Ferrari SF90: 1000 HP but almost 1.700 kg... This can't be the right path... (1.100 kg and 700 HP would be the right direction, but only Gordon Murray seems to know that...).

The warranty is very appealing for this McLaren...I've always appreciated the styling of most McLaren products...but this seems more pure..and the tech and engineering is exciting...can't wait to hear it...so far it seems like a McLaren easier to live with and I'm nerding out for the Android Auto..great video Henry, as always..👍
