Danger on the Job | City Works

On this episode of City Works, Laura Flanders is joined by Assemblywoman Catalina Cruz, representative for New York’s 39th Assembly District, and Richard Winsten, a lobbyist and labor rights attorney. Also joining them is Amir Khafagy, a reporter for the news organization, Documented, with a special report on a group of immigrant construction workers who organized to demand that their employer provide a safer workplace. The four will discuss the report, as well as the kinds of legislation and community action that are still needed to reverse a recent spike in workplace deaths around the city.
