Just different personalities. Different styles of comedy. Love them both. They're hilarious. It wasn't some big drama. They weren't looking to hurt each other or anything.
It seemed like Bill was being intentionally negative and trying to be a dick. Normally I like him, but Theo is not being serious about anything and Bill was being petty. This is the first time i seen Burr and I didnt like him.
Remember that Bill comes from the ball-breaking, tough guy environment. Now imagine what Patrice O'Neil would say if Theo asked him these kinds of questions.

Also he's a northern yankee prick type and Theo is a southern gentleman stoner type. I moved up north for a bit when I was young and I remember being amazed at all the negativity and attitude up there compared to down South. They don't mean anything by it, that's just how everyone is up there. The "ahh, go F yourself" vibe is part of their culture. Maybe it's not like that up there anymore, but I was up there in the 90's.

This was a relatively normal conversation for comedians as far as I've seen. No real tension, just chirping each other (or just getting obliterated). If you want to hang with the best you have to be on your game! Lest we forget Patrice.

Bill loves being confrontational in interviews like this, I rarely see one where he isn't. Honestly, I think he just gets bored quick and he finds challenging people interesting to see how they respond, and he knows it makes some good content along the way. I get excited when I see him on a podcast with another comedian I know because I like to see how they react to him and how they tell the story about it after when they are on other podcasts.
