Coming back after the New Year, this was absolutely 2023’s AOTY. This is the kind of music that becomes essential listening for musicians in the future. Hearing this album as it was livestreamed may have been my Gen Z modern equivalent to buying Ok Computer on CD when it came out in the 90s. Seriously a landmark record, and will be appreciated more in years to come as perfectly capturing this generation’s aesthetic post-covid. Modern masterpiece, thank you Parannoul.
Some of my favorite moments: - 1:54 This explosion in Polaris - 8:14 This chord change in Insomnia - 15:38 Feels like the world is opening up - 27:50-28:50 This buildup is possibly the most magnificent part of the entire album - 41:40 This last minute of Imagination is bursting with energy
For me its the parade section of Parade 25:35 It sounds similar to this Chrono Cross OST ruclips.net/video/3CzRuEJTkBk/видео.html , a game i used to play in my childhood. I didn't expect to get hit by nostalgia.
the reason why parannoul is special to me is because i can relate to all of his lyrics, and now he did it again. 10/10, I'm afraid that the good production is gonna "ruin" your charm but i was wrong, it's getting better and i can hear that you can express your emotion more free here, and i love that you're not afraid to experiment with your sound. //

This music sounds like self-healing, relief, solace. It conveys the emotions of the artist in such a way that you can't help but empathize for him. It makes me feel anew, like accepting all my flaws and becoming a better person. I love your music and I'm sure you're going down as one of the greatest musicians of this decade, if not ever. A piece of art. I was listening to Origami Angel - Somewhere City before this and this came up recommended and let me just say, this is phenomenal and stunning. Relentlessly elegant and ethereal with equally beautiful lyrics and imagery, genuinely impressed by this. We might have another case of Ants From Up There, where the album of the year already dropped this early.

I don't often agree with Pitchfork, but good golly miss molly, "After the Magic" by Parannoul is simply stunning. It's just so intense, emotional and beautiful. Seeing the translated lyrics here, it punches home even harder. The entire album is remarkable, but "Polaris", "Imagination", "Blossom", and "After the Magic" are simply next level. Going to be a tall task for another band to knock this off my AOTY. I saw a live video of Parannoul, he looks to be about 16 years old. How is this even possible?
결국 파란노을 최고의 앨범은 역시 이 앨범이다. 2집의 파란노을과는 확연히 다른 느낌임에도 첫 트랙부터 바로 느낄 수 있는 이 앨범의 정체성과 다른 앨범보다도 훨씬 전문적인 듯한 사운드, 그리고 성장해가는 과정에서 겪는 두려움과 과거에 대한 그리움이 묻어나는 서정적이고 솔직한 가사들. 파란노을만의 투박함과 이모를 좋아하는 사람들이라면 다른 앨범을 더 선호할 것 같지만 난 파란노을의 음악적인 여러 면들을 효율적으로 담아낸 앨범으로는 이 앨범을 고를 것 같다.

Absolutely spot on. 28:40 felt like Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven.
For me that explosion at 3:37 in Polaris hits harder, bringing the intro vocal hook back makes it super effective.
For me its the parade section of Parade 25:35
