this gives me so much comfort. i grew up with this show. i know it might sound weird, but they felt like father figures, sherlock and john. my father wasn't always there for me because he moved away and i barely meet him. now i find comfort in 2 fictional characters solving crimes. it's weird, but it makes me happy.

Same here. Seeing Sherlock attempt to comfort John in the hound episode was something I never experienced myself (parents didn't comfort me) so I took that to heart and started to cry. God, this show makes me happy, and makes me cry like a child :)

I can just imagine myself sitting curled up in John’s chair while he types up his blog at the table, doing my homework and getting frustrated. So much so to the point where Sherlock walks over, takes one look at it and says “oh that’s rubbish, I don’t even understand that, it’s not important.” And John just glares over at him. “Sherlock You’re supposed to help the damn boy not tell him his school work isn’t important! Now what is it kiddo, come over here and I’ll explain it to you.”

Can I just say, the best part of this is most definitely the bus sounds because it somehow just cements modern day London. Good choice.
Also as a recommendation, if possible, always go for live violin recordings! (If you can get the permission, of course.) Midi violin just sounds so... off, even as a non-musician.
