This song made me have faith back into BP. I’ve been listening out for a song that could change my perspective. Since KTL, I’ve fallen off from them, and they weren’t feeling genuine enough for me to become a fan again. But this time, I could actually feel good listening to the song and appreciate them again. I never hated the girls, and I never went out to bash and hate them, but I haven’t felt the same love for them that I used to back when AS If It’s Your Last was released. Anyway, I’m proud of them for finally improving their sound, and I intend to give the album a chance.
Not a stan, but this is an anthem! I personally like Bet you wanna and love to hate me, you can check it out. They've been waiting for this for so long and its really worth the wait.
I already listen the album, I'm glad Jennie is rapping again. Also I feel more Jisoo voice in this album. Rosé is killing it as always and damn Lisa's raps are next level. I expected something more hardcore for this comeback but I really like the work on this album. Ohhh right .. The beats of the songs are crazy and catchy
15:46 It's definitely about them. They portrayed "love" and the struggles that come with it. Yup, the maknaes parts must've been about relationships, since they were the one's who had scenes with loren(the guy), but jisoo's was definitely about struggling to love herself, and jennie's line in her rap which she wrote "Not a princess I'm priceless" referring to people who were dragging her and calling her yg princess, was about all the hate she received. And these were the two members who took part in the writing process. This song is way deeper than it seems, considering all the scenes in the mv along wih their lyrucs and thei past experiences.
You know Aaron, I think you might be spot on with your interpretation of this song! It makes so much sense! Jennie and Jisoo took part in the lyric writing. They are in a sense "alone" and isolated from the rest of the world. But they seek love from others (everyone wants to be loved after all). Hurtful hate is thrown towards them but they are nothing without the pain because the pain comes because of all their success (jealous people)
Rosé stuning you feel her voice so good and painless its the best thing ever!! All of them are godness this song is dope tho. Edit: follow me on ig: isazax68 blinks go together ! Skinny bitchh! Lmao pretty savage kill at all.
im just noticing how aarons reaction to this video has the part where jennie is with herself as the nurse while shes rapping, which has since then been edited out for a reason i cant remember but its so cool to actually see before it was removed
My honest opinion on the song: Music First of all, because of Ice Cream and HYLT my expectations were superlow. I didn't enjoy those at all, but that's a different story. This though, was a lot better. No awkward drops, no build ups that didn't lead anywhere and a song that actually makes every single one of the girls shine. I didn't enjoy the chorus that much with the choir-feeling to it, but it's still catchy and it works. Lyrics This must be one of BPs best lyrics so far. I see some are commenting that some of the girls participated in the writing and this only shows that they should continue to do that. Dance The dance isn't really anything special. Of course, with this MV having a lot of acting scenes it's difficult to get a complete view of the choreo. It's perfectly fine, and I don't really care that much that it doesn't stand out more - especially because I do really love to see the girls act. MV As a whole, the estetics are beautiful in this MV. I also feel like the scenery actually makes sense and tells a story, which kinda have been missing in the two last MVs. Here it doesn't only LOOK cool, it gives something more to the song. The girls For me, Rose and Jisoo shines the most in this. I mean DAMN. Jennie and Lisa is great as well, but it's just smth about the others that took my breath away. Maybe it's just because I'm not used to seeing them this much in the spotlight. Jisoo's acting is also shining more here than I've seen before. Nice to hear her voice a bit more as well. Overall, I'll give it a 7/10, which I consider to be pretty high. This was a lot more of what I was expecting of a talented group like BP. It's going to my playlist!
I liked this song!!! Lisa's rap part in the beginning reminds of Stay (one of my favorites); i loved the chorus, sounds kinda fresh; Jennie is rapping againn; Jisoo and Rosé sounded so beautiful. I especially think that Rosé's voice shined the most in this song. Conclusion: hylt it is really the only title song from them that i didn't like. These days i realized I'm looking at them the same way I looked at back in 2016~2018. A person already commented this here in the comments section, but, for real, they are sounding more genuine(?) for me. I never stopped to listen to their songs or watching their videos, but, since ktl, it wasn't the same as before. I didn't listen to The Album yet, but i was really happy to see that some of the women participated in the writing and producing process. Kinda sad that it's only 8 songs, but it's what it's.
The girls have said that this album is personal, and most of the songs are about their own experiences. This isn’t just about love, the double meaning is that their lover is their dreams. Their dreams have caused them so much pain, but they keep pursuing them, causing them to be lovesick girls!
I remember hearing abt a theory that someone said that basically all the members go threw some sort of breakup and Jisoo is there to help them but then they can’t take it anymore and commit suicide. Jennie gets in a car crash, Rosé drowns herself, and Lisa jumps off a building. Then that one scene where Jisoo is running she’s basically trying to get to them before it’s too late, and then we see a scene where Jisoo is like in like a pool and she can’t take it anymore cuz she misses them and she drowns herself. At the end of the MV u see all of them in a car like in some sort of place all together looking happy and that’s basically like the after life for them being together again. Again I just wanna say this is just a theory that I remember hearing abt and I just think if u think abt it that way then it just makes it more emotional and sad to listen to. I love this song and the girls did amazing
I kind of agree with your interpretation, Lovesick girls is definitely a song about a toxic relationship but it might have an underlying meaning too, you see, I can get attacked for this but Blinks have hurted Blackpink the most and a lot turned their backs on them and they have been through a lot especially because of all the fame and them being in the spotlight, the hate and everything. It’s really sad but then again they are nothing without the pain they said, the hardships they went through is what makes them the Blackpink we love today.
This is how they explained it: "the lyrics raises the ultimate question of why humans are hurt by love, yet they seek another love". Jisoo and Jennie participated in writing the lyrics and Jennie participated in producing
In my opinion this song is FANTASTIC. And also their album is fire. All the songs are perfect . GREAT work by BLACKPINK as usual. They will always be remembered by the world.
There’s another theory that Lovesick Girls is a song about suicide. Jennie died bc of a car accident after they broke up. Lisa jumped out of the building after a break up also. Rosé drowned herself after that tragic heart break also. Then Jisoo was the about to save them all but it was too late you can see her first part where she was holding a broken hourglass however, the pink sand in it was flowing in reverse because she wanted to go back in time where she could’ve saved them all three. Just a theory also 💗
Jisoo's visuals stunned me. Does Rose give anyone else Avril vibes? Her vocal colour sometimes and her look in this MV. I was a massive fan and can't help but see similarities lol.
If you look at their behind the scenes for all their music videos, you can see that their set is all real, I think its really cool, I think BlackPink has only used the green screen once (I'm pretty sure they used it in Whistle) but thats about it
So where are the haters? Cause everytime he points out something that is honestly not his fav, haters are all ganging up and AGRESSIVELY agreeing to him to the point that your agreeing is a Hate while his dislike is genuine? But whenever he loves the song of bp, haters are invisible🤭
Rosé and Jisoo stollen this comeback. They are beautiful and shinning.

Ikr but she's so cute
LISTEN,
Jennie rapping, proper instrumentals and music, jisoo getting deserved lines, full chorus, no onomotopoeia, actual lyrics.
*A perfect song*
ruclips.net/video/dyRsYk0LyA8/видео.html streammm!!!!!
this is what u get when u let the girls write lyrics
“You never know”it’s a song about them, just the bright side of the famous but the dark and lonely side we no see... deep song
Not a stan, but this is an anthem! I personally like Bet you wanna and love to hate me, you can check it out. They've been waiting for this for so long and its really worth the wait.
Yeah the album is a bop
JISOO and JENNIE participated in writing and composing themselves
I already listen the album, I'm glad Jennie is rapping again. Also I feel more Jisoo voice in this album. Rosé is killing it as always and damn Lisa's raps are next level. I expected something more hardcore for this comeback but I really like the work on this album.
Ohhh right .. The beats of the songs are crazy and catchy
Yeah Jennie and jisoo participated in writing the song, Jennie also co-produced and composed the song
You have the best honest reaction on music as a youtuber💖💖
Honestly, this comeback saved blackpink this 2020.
Among all of the mv's that they released this year, this is definitely my favorite one😊
JENSOO writers JENNIE PRODUCER AND COMPOSER

It's definitely about them.
Hurtful hate is thrown towards them but they are nothing without the pain because the pain comes because of all their success (jealous people)
Finally. A good song in two years. Seriously, they needed this.
They did said there’s some personal songs in the album and this one is probably one of them
The album is so freaking good and diverse 💕💕💕💕💕 jisoo’s rap, emotional song, hype songs and moreeee
Ikr!!! OUR QUEENS ATE THIS WHOLE ALBUM!!!!
YES! definitely my FAVORITE comeback ever. especially this song, it felt so heart felt.
i really don't care about other groups i just love blackpink [proud blinks]
Special thanks to David Guetta for making this beat.
Jennie produced too
She did click to enter yeah jennie best prod
Jisoo and Jennie Yess
Rosé stuning you feel her voice so good and painless its the best thing ever!! All of them are godness this song is dope tho.
Edit: follow me on ig: isazax68 blinks go together ! Skinny bitchh! Lmao pretty savage kill at all.
i love how you look at every little detail and take everything in!
im just noticing how aarons reaction to this video has the part where jennie is with herself as the nurse while shes rapping, which has since then been edited out for a reason i cant remember but its so cool to actually see before it was removed
My honest opinion on the song:
Music
First of all, because of Ice Cream and HYLT my expectations were superlow.
Lyrics
This must be one of BPs best lyrics so far. I see some are commenting that some of the girls participated in the writing and this only shows that they should continue to do that.
Dance
The dance isn't really anything special. Of course, with this MV having a lot of acting scenes it's difficult to get a complete view of the choreo. It's perfectly fine, and I don't really care that much that it doesn't stand out more - especially because I do really love to see the girls act.
MV
As a whole, the estetics are beautiful in this MV. I also feel like the scenery actually makes sense and tells a story, which kinda have been missing in the two last MVs. Here it doesn't only LOOK cool, it gives something more to the song.
The girls
For me, Rose and Jisoo shines the most in this.
Kinda sad that it's only 8 songs, but it's what it's.
i love jisoo and rosie voice!!!! this song made me cryin' . especially rosie part in black ink and jisoo part in the water . the lyrics are so deep
THIS SONG IS A BOP. THIS ALBUM IS INCREDIBLE 😭😭😭😭
When Aaron says wow for so many times...
*I FELT THAT*
I love how Lisa rapped in two distinctive styles -- and killed both🔥 Check out Pretty Savage, I think it's the best song on the album.
15:34 dude it’s a good point tho, it’s make sense because being famous and an idol it’s really tough job honestly.
Omg Jisoo is the most beautiful girl i've ever seen 😨
Rosé really good an acting
I kind of agree with your interpretation, Lovesick girls is definitely a song about a toxic relationship but it might have an underlying meaning too, you see, I can get attacked for this but Blinks have hurted Blackpink the most and a lot turned their backs on them and they have been through a lot especially because of all the fame and them being in the spotlight, the hate and everything. It’s really sad but then again they are nothing without the pain they said, the hardships they went through is what makes them the Blackpink we love today.
I do agree with you!
Aaron: I don't THINK it's a green screen
YG: What is Green screen again?
times he has said wow = blinks love for blackpink ♥
Check out there other songs from "the album" all of them are bops
The way he said WOW three times after the mv ended, I was like yeah he didn't lie about saying that it is a "HONEST REACTION"🤣😎
They Slayed IT!!!! I'm In love with the harmonies
This is how they explained it: "the lyrics raises the ultimate question of why humans are hurt by love, yet they seek another love". Jisoo and Jennie participated in writing the lyrics and Jennie participated in producing
Yesss rosé part its so amazing, her voice so great, and her acting so good
In my opinion this song is FANTASTIC.
And also their album is fire. All the songs are perfect . GREAT work by BLACKPINK as usual. They will always be remembered by the world.
Pretty Savage is next .. lowkey best song on this album O_O
Aaron as start: Happy and Excited
Aaron in the end: Emotional
Bruh. Green Screen is not in YG’s vocabulary okay?
This man deserves more recognition! He's one of the best reactors ❤❤
ROSÉ DESERVES EQUAL ATTENTION
THEY ROCKED THE TITLE TRACK they have so much pressure please dont hate them .
Just a theory also 💗
This is my favorite, after Ad if it's your last
same
I don't think the building is green screen because if you watch the behind the scenes, they were at the actual location
Jisoo's visuals stunned me. Does Rose give anyone else Avril vibes? Her vocal colour sometimes and her look in this MV. I was a massive fan and can't help but see similarities lol.
I already got that Avril vibes from her when she release the cover of Halsey's Eyes Closed.
If you look at their behind the scenes for all their music videos, you can see that their set is all real, I think its really cool, I think BlackPink has only used the green screen once (I'm pretty sure they used it in Whistle) but thats about it
ROSÉ VOCALS IS SO AMAZING
I honestly love this song, and this style really suit them
after 3 years I finally hear song that I like from them
So where are the haters? Cause everytime he points out something that is honestly not his fav, haters are all ganging up and AGRESSIVELY agreeing to him to the point that your agreeing is a Hate while his dislike is genuine? But whenever he loves the song of bp, haters are invisible🤭
I hope you react to the full album
Rose portrayed emotion really good!!!!
I recommend you listening to the whole album, it’s a MASTERPIECE
It has so much songs that deserve to be a title track
Actually I really like this chorus. Its like an anthem when they all sing like that.
Let be honest, this is one of the best era of BLACKPINK
ROSÉ MAIN VOCALIST IS BACK
블랙핑크 로제 #ROSÉ #로제
#THEALBUM
One of the best reactions so far💕 thank you i got more immersed about the meaning bc of you
