@Flipsie 1:00:00 Splitsie says he can’t move the camera around in photo mode, yet ignores the pitch/roll/yaw sliders which he briefly scrolls past. Btw yaw is horizontal slew (flat movement left/right).
Not sure is you guys figure this out during the episode at some point, but in regards to your ammo confusion Soft Point Ammo deals more damage to components(weak points) and less to armored points. Armor Piercing Ammo is the reverse of Soft Point. It strips armor off quick, but does less damage to components. FMJ is a midpoint between both.
39:00 It's .243 Winchester, used for deer hunting, but it's a small caliber for it, the .308's little brother. Low recoil, high velocity not a lot of stopping power.
Flares and fireworks are your friends. Flares distract the robots and fireworks makes it hard for them to target you. Drop in a flare or fireworks at the beginning of combat , the robots will focus on that and you can come in and steamroller them. Also good for when you need breathing space for a medkit or when things get really out of hand and you need to pull a Sir Robin
.243 is caliber, it's either hundreds or thousands of an inch depending on how many digits after the period, and gauge is an older measurement, based on the number of lead balls used to make a pound, so 12 gauge is sized by taking a pound of lead and separating it into 12 same sized pellets, etcetera... With firearms, there are a fair number of archaic or esoteric measurements, like grains, and many different ammunition types are specified using odd systems, for example there are something like a dozen different 9mm calibers, though most aren't common anymore. Some more interesting examples are calibers like .45-70, and .30-40 Krag, in those cases, the first number is the bullet caliber and the second is the amount of black powder in grains that are in the cartridge case, except for the .30-30 rifle, because .30-30 was introduced shortly after the Advent of smokeless powder, and Winchester introduced it using the older style designation because it was more familiar to people. Another example is 7.62 NATO, and the Soviet calibers, in which 7.62 NATO is also known as .308 Winchester, and it's proper name is 7.62x51, While the Soviet cartridges are 7.62x39, the AK's cartridge, and 7.62x54r, the previous full power cartridge used by the USSR, that is of course not a complete or in any way exhaustive list of examples, you could spend multiple hours and days exploring the world of archaic and strange cartridges for different firearms, not to mention the guns themselves.
30-40 is smokeless, and an absolute bull of a cartridge. Also marlin pushed the 30-30 naming scheme, as to not have .30 WCF, or another mention of Winchester. Obviously, this backfired.
pressing N will change ammo types which last time i played I think it defaults to the less powerful rounds, so for the guns that use bullets that will be hollow points, and for ones that use shells it's birdshot but that shotgun does use the buckshot, but will need it selected also Shotgun suppressors are a thing not just for this game but a real thing
The real reason you have a pile of weapons in your stash is because that storage inventory is shared across all character’s and all worlds. So resetting with a new character does nothing for that.
Unfortunately, there's no easy way of starting a completely new game. *Anything* you had in storage from prior game will be in your storage when you start again. The only way around it is to completely empty the Plundra, then delete all your characters, *then* start a new game.
You need to take a second between shots with a scope, time for your character to steady themselves for the next shot, that's why the shot you think should be hitting aren't.
I thought much of the recent furore was around their predatory evaluation of PvE not being included in one of their massively expensive 'all access' packs?
@Flipsie yeah there was some issues with that. But for people that already owned expensive tier packs, who had stepped away because of cheater, the PvE has brought new life to it
If this is the story you're referring to, I'm not seeing 'fraud and theft'. At worst they're not being honest about their inspirations, but there are so many other possibilities that I'm not sure how to take it all www.pcgamer.com/swedish-artist-simon-stalenhag-is-not-happy-with-generation-zero/
Sadly the dlc's ruined this game for me sense the base of being completely alone piecing together a story of what happened was much more survival to me. This is just a single player looter shooter now and just not fun unless played with others now.

Best movie of the 80s
If you haven’t noticed already.
There’s an option so you don’t have to hold the button to open/loot things
I love how they didn't think about driving off the side of the mountain to go 50+ km/h on a bike
Ok nevermind they did it last second
squads of army guys are getting wrecked and there’s just these three randos obliterating everything
I should go back to this game again too.
Just let me run this scrap back to my base... 😂

Gonna need more of this. I just saw the next video post and I'm so happy!

You can temporarily tag enemies (or whatever you're looking at) with 'G'. Enemy Marking is a skill in the Support tree.
I like the phrase "you lie like a cheap rug"

The RBLF laughs at the Splitsie from a country that regularly gets down to -40 C. Silly Splitsie, you don’t know what Cold is… 😂😂😂😂😂
'N' cycles through available ammo, 'V' changes rate of fire (semi-auto, burst, full auto)

"Hiking Through the Woods" simulator.
39:00 Did the game just troll you by giving you fingerless gloves?

Been a fun game and love the new updates and DLC. Big changes over the last few years.
shooting stuff with a gun that has no ammo is extremely cheaty. Or giga chad, I can't decide
You need to take a second between shots with a scope, time for your character to steady themselves for the next shot, that's why the shot you think should be hitting aren't.
Very nice change of pace. 👍🏻
2:36:28 What... Captain Hollister?!
Nice to see you playing this again
FMJ damages armour better than Soft Point. Soft Point does more damage to components (like fuel tanks) than FMJ.
why do all the people i see streaming this forget the other pistol in the start area on the roof of the other smaller building
I was wondering if y’all would ever go back to the Splitsie hay day of the 1980’s lol j/k glad let the shenanigans commence!!!!
how do you started a complete new game? There should be an old save from your last play. Is it enough to delete your old character?
If we're talking old robot movies, how about Batteries Not Included? Strap a gun on those and you have a whole new horror movie.
Pistol shoots 32 ACP. Are the enemies kittens?
given that Splitsie's rifle shoots .243s that might be a thing :D
They didn't use .22 for pistols because of the penetration abilities 😅
I was 17 when tfe was born 😢
I was 26
Hurray !
for more *confused TFE noises*
The real Name of that Assault Rifle is Heckler & Koch G3 btw.
Not really. It's the Automatkarbin 4, which was the license-built G3 by Husqvarna and Carl Gustaf, with some slight changes in design.
@@schwaulen I Didnt know Husqvarna build Guns, i have 2 professional Gardening Tools made by them at Work
@@Darkclaw00if it was a Swedish company's in the 80s they build weapons or military technology...
Wait😮 how old are you? How old am I? Beaver dam it! I'm old!?
I also have been wondering how tf that happened.... Truly the years start coming and they don't stop coming
Tarkov has kinda come back now that they added a PvE game mode.

Surprised hes supporting this studio after they were caught committing fraud and theft
What? I hadn't heard of anything like that. Do you have a link to any articles on it?
Probably referring to that the style of the game is pretty much the art of Simon Stålenhag.

Honestly, I reached the same conclusion after a bit more time playing 😔
