Am I the only one that noticed that the way Bee quickly transforms into a car, does a u-turn, transforms back again and punches dropkick is the same way Jazz transforms in the original g1 cartoon intro?
I honestly feel like the reasons first time transformation for a new alt mode is long is because in a way their body actually needs to learn exactly how to transform into that state and back properly, which explains why it seems each transformation is faster than the last, their body is getting used to the transformation
Jayson Douglas it may also be based on the situation they’re in. If they have no one to fight or hide from they slowly transform. In case of an emergency the go faster.
And whats cool is that when you watch Bee's transformation sequences he starts off as transforming slowly but progressively transforms faster, take the beach scene for example, there he shows how fast he transforms whereas earlier he took a while
I like to think that in addition transforming fast drains their energy, while transforming slowly is more comfortable, kinda like how sprinting is more draining than walking.
The movie takes place in the cold war. Blitzwing transforms into a F4 Phantom, one of the best rated aircraft of the time. Shatter transforms into a Harrier, and uses it's VTOL capabilities. The detail of this movie is in point.
IDK, for me it's a reference, since dropkick is a triple changer, and megatron in the first and second movies transform into a aircraft and a tank, they put the same sound effect for make that sensation :) (sorry to my bad Inglishe XD)
I love how Shatter and Dropkick basically "grew" their wings and rotors after they scanned their flight vehicle mode, feels natural instead of having the parts needed before actually scanning anything
I love how they utilise their transformations. For once, they actually use their vehicle modes during fights. Especially Dropkick driving off the wall to transform into the helicopter.
@@JTC-qx2no That's not what he meant. He meant Transformers turning into their alternate modes in the middle of combat in creative ways, not just to 'shoot better'.
Seeing them all lined up like this, I noticed that they didn't shy away from making the transformations sound closer to the original noise than the older movies. It might be because the older ones took much longer, but any time they used the TF sound, it kind of seemed like an afterthought. In this movie each transformation sound is unique to the bot. Bumblebees transform sound is much lighter, while the Decepticons have heavier bass. Even Dropkicks pre-death TF sounds sound like a ragged and suffocated version of the classic noise. The sound designers for this movie did a fantastic job on making each bot sound so distinctive.
I love how the transformations in this one didn't take unnecessarily long unless it was their first time transforming in their new alt modes. In the bayverse, even Optimus prime wouldn't finish transforming while he was already moving
It really does seem like a case of familiarity. They more they get accustomed to transitioning to their newer forms, the faster and better they can integrate it into their life, like Bumblebee using his Beetle form’s momentum to throw himself at Dropkick.
@@coffeetext that could be the case, but even when certain boots were accustomed to their transformations in the bayverse, it still took more than a couple of seconds for them to fully transform
You know what makes me most happy about these transformers? They used a variation of the original transformation sound. Not for everyone, but they at least used it a WHOLE LOT more than Bay did.
I love how in this movie, along with the Bayverse transformation sounds, we get variations on the G1 transformation sound with almost every transformation.

I like how we can actually follow better how they transform. With Bumblebee it's more evident, you can see where his vehicle parts go when transforming to robot mode. Slow down the video, and it becomes much better. In Bay's ones much of the transformations were not clear because of that annoying and messed camera's moving in all directions.
this movie is objectively a lot better than the originals but it still can't hold a candle to the sense of wonder and awe I got from seeing the transformations in the first movie.
So Bumblebee was my first transformers film. is the actual transformers trilogy any good? Coz I think Bumblebee is quite awesome. I know that he is in the first movie but idk what I'm getting myself into so I'm a bit skeptical as there are so many Transformer films. Personally I'm not that into robot fights, but how Bumblebee fights in Bumblebee flim amazed me.
I prefer the sound and visual design of the Michael Bay pentalogy (there are five movies), but I prefer the human characters in this movie. The transformations in Bay's movies are more grounded in reality, meaning things stick out in weird places, and they take longer to transform (and no cassette player Soundwave). It's not so much car -> robot -> airplane -> robot as seen in the Bumblebee movie, but more car/airplane -> robot with big gun -> explosions! And I do mean explosions. There are a considerable amount of explosions in the original movies. And patriotism. And sexism. And annoying characters you just want to punch to death, including the main character in the first three movies, which is unfortunate. If you liked Bumblebee for the action scenes, you'll probably like the original movies. If you liked it for the strong, independent female lead, you'll probably hate the original movies with a passion. The writing is pretty comparable in quality, as in: both are pretty bad.
i mean throwing chains to a transformers transforming is basically having chains stuck between your flesh, bones, and skins. bayformers are weaker. in fight scenes most of them would tear parts of their bodies pretty easily with their hands
Oh my lord there’s much mass shifting in this entire movie it gives me a headache and yes Paramount there is such thing as an overuse of transformations I felt dizzy every time someone went from car to robot mode every 3 seconds that’s why Bayverse limited the screen time for the robots so we can savor the first transformation sequence and then have room to be impressed by the next
