Hey live and learn love seeing this sort of stuff and props to you man for showing the process behind your builds gives great insight into what actually goes on and not just boom fully sick 4by in our faces
Bout average for used td’s Brave business to be on RUclips, remember when Shaun had his 1hz rebuild series and it spun a bearing within a thousand kilometres 😬🤠
Despite the sensationalized nature of the episode, Shaun blowing up his engine actually had nothing to do with the build of the engine. Donnelly and the team are the best at what they do!
Are you going to run head studs? If the TD is built and tuned properly you won't have a problem, cracks like that are usually the result of excess fuel to much boost and not enough cooling capacity. Large front mount intercooler and qickazz cooling system will keep them happy. TD's will take alot of abuse but once you exceed a certain point it's time for full rebuild. Heavy duty liners are a must for higher Hp builds, spool rods and SMS rebuild kit with ACL Race bearings Marley Izumi Turbo Pistons, Ti Oil pump and squirters.
wish I coulda told ya that Tom fellas got abit of history with ripping people off bro I learnt first hand aswell with a few guard repairs 🤦🏽 biggest hassle to try and get em back
Weld the head up and resurface it haha good for a while haha all else fails few bottles of chemi weld put boost into it and send it the old sam would its only a kettle at the end of the day not cheap fun but worth it to see the limits u can push on stuffed engines
It was sold as blown but basically "just needed a piston" and had "a good block" - Ended up completely rooted with a dropped liner, totalled block, destroyed head, destroyed sump, etc... but, it was cheap, so I only blame myself really
Good ep mate, looking forward to the next one with engine sorted.👌
Is this Donnelly Engineering on the GC?....if so I've used these guys heaps, good work... never any dramas

@@SamYoung4x4what happened then?
They drive there cars
It was the gearbox input shaft pushing the crank on Shaun’s engine. Made the crank grab the bearing. Nothing todo with the engine build
Welp thats the TD market for ya.
Hows ol mates rig rundown going? 😮
Up the mighty TD 💪💪

Hey how does it go Sam go hard or go home good job I'll be waiting for when she is fixed and back on the tracks 👍👍
You need to build a TD45Ti Stroker engine, chromoly crank.

TD The world best engine out there
Hope it’s a derk water pump going on it and not one of the shitty high flow ones
Maybe 👑
@ thank god hopefully in the next video you actually explain why it’s the best pump and give people some actual knowledge on cooling systems in tds
I've got a Derk on mine, I rate it... never been above 100°, even weighing 6t at highway speeds up inclines...
On a positive, scrap metal prices are up atm! 😂
TD42 for lifeeeeeee! They are the best value for money bush bashing engine
“VaLuE fOr MoNeY”

No point stressing thats what you have to deal with when you play with old clunkers Sammy.

Why isn't Max at hd not building this for ya?
Get a Barra Turbo Sammy
Good marketplace TD is a myth.
I bought a “good” one with “no” blow by from a reputable source. Did 10,000km at 170hp before complete catastrophic failure. Head and block, all scrap
Aftermarket heads a shit on it mate wont last long
Owning a Nissan he said it would be fun he said
Jokes
Hahahaha 💀
Should of just put a TB in it instead since you hate td's so much,
It should have been a TB48 middleeast build🤦🏻♂️
just put a fte in it
Consesus
😢
Lol.
Fark no good Sam
Yous dont rebuild td's 😂 you buy a replacement silvertop and send it.
Its a customary patrol thing to sell shit for gold.
ahahahaha literally 😂
What's the story did the bloke sell it to you saying it was decent? Spewing!
Nah it was sold as a blown up engine, was mentioned in the previous video. Is a little awkward for old mate though, he looks like the bad guy lol
@dan_2846 yeah badly lol he be feeling like sam done him dirty I recon when he see's this vid 😂
