I recently lost my daughter, I lived a hell but after the acceptance I discovered this game, just imagining that I could go to her beach and look for her as hearthman does ... never had a game marked me so much
Sorry for your loss. I hope you find some comfort with the game. 😭😭
be strong 🍀
@@Gloria_II Thank you so much, I appreciate it
I’m so sorry for your loss, My condolences 🙏
Sorry for your lost we are here for you
So what is Death Stranding? Well, according to Kojima, it is about isolation and accepting that you aren’t alone. “I’m very prone to loneliness,” said Kojima. “I think there are similar people around the world - especially gamers. … When they’re alone playing video games in their living room, they don’t feel like they fit into society or their community. So when people play this game they realize people like them exist all over the world. Knowing that even though I’m lonely, there are other people like me - and that makes you feel at ease. That’s what I want people to feel when they play this game.”
Feels accomplished Kojima
Yes.
this game makes me feel just that, so i would say mission complete mr. Kojima
I know how loneliness truly feels since after one ends military service, we never fit back into society like we used to. Always outsiders and fringe. Shit is wild man
Gamers rise up
this song played right after i finished a long climb up a mountain at the end of my journey. what a magical experience. thank you kojima and the team behind everything
That was great
You finished already, wow. I only got halfway through
@@Ronbonbon7 This song plays for the first time close to the end of chapter 2, pretty early into the game in a very scenic view/moment
On your way to Lake Knot city 😊
That part in 3:08 played exactly when I got down from a rope and ran straight towards Port Knot City. One of the best moments in the game.
This game is getting a lot of hate but i am glad for the peopel like me that are enjoing every momment of this game.
Right there w/you fellow Porter 💪🏼😍📦🎮 lol
I came to really hate the gameplay but stuck with it cuz of the story. And I must say, I'm not disappointed.
Same here and i love this song.
There's only a couple of people left in this world who enjoy and understand the deep meaning in a piece of art created by such passion.👍😢
Gamer Player337 well that’s stupid to say because it’s so not true. It’s not a bad game but it isn’t great either, it’s just there, this game isn’t anything big it’s meaning is big. This is Kojima stance and him telling the world he isn’t done..it’s basically a hey this is what I can do right now but hang with me and I’ll do you guys right again..I promise. God of war, botw, did the exact same thing, yes they are great games! But those games only show the capability of these companies and what they will do.
Very few games can pretend they make us, the players and audience of all kinds, feel something.
I cried to The Last of Us.
Spent hours with fictional friends with Dragon Age.
Cheered to our close win in Rainbow Six Siege.
Stayed in awe before Red dead Redemption.
Immersed myself in the Witcher.
With Death Stranding, I felt close to people I will never meet. Sitting in their living rooms just like I was. Without a word spoken, this shared loneliness was warmer. This loud silence was quieter. This night was just a bit lighter. Just for a moment.
This is something to be proud of. Something we can all stand behind. Lighting the darkness.
I felt the same..i love and i will always love this game
what a volatile result of his creation, right. we have people like you and people who somehow curses the game
Damn yup I felt like it was a immersive version of minecraft lol but seriously I cried my ass off based on story and the building system in. If that makes sense.
I cried for hours after red dead 2 i got the bad ending 😞😞
Build that road, get those constructs built, and be sure to hit the like on any building that's helped you along the way.
Remember, we're here for each other.
yeah teamwork and family forming is the Death Stranding way
Big Facts 🤗❤️🏆

¿I am the only one who loves Fragile sm?
I had tears in my eyes when the sound played while I overlooked the port city at the mountain top. My packages were mostly ruined. But I saw the light shines through the darkness. Never give up what you believed in. Lead on Porters.

I never ruined a package
Making it out of that valley of death to see Port Knot City off into the distance whilst this music plays is one of my top gaming moments of all time.
I agree. I love this song so much, and with that scenery, it was breathtaking.
💯 I pulled up on my bike and sat there letting the song play thru it's entirety. Absolutely amazing moment. Peace
When you sneak past all those BTs and finally see Port knot city in sight and the game rewards you with this song. What a Feeling..!!
Just got round to playing DS this week, literally just finished episode 2, that climb through the mountain, coming over the edge and seeing the Port in the distance, this playing in the background made it all worth it, what a gaming moment, so memorable.
Literally just got to the port right now and after listening to this, can’t get enough of this game💯
Imagine listening to this song while walking early in the morning and there's fog and it's around mid autumn/early winter.
I did.
You just described the perfect moment to feel loneliness, quiet, peace and somehow, power and strength to move on.
I liked listening to this walking to work in the morning when there's no one else around.
I think you spelled "imagine if silent hills wasn't cancelled" incorrectly.
Dont have to imagine :)
In my opinion this is one of the best songs in a game ever. In terms of atmosphere, when you approach Lake Knot City and this song starts, is perfect. The game got a lot of hate, but for me Kojima did it again
Hideo Kojima - a game director with such good taste in music, I'd keep tabs on even if I never had the slightest interest in video games. I hope that Silent Poets gets a big boost from all this attention - if the rest of their work is even half as beautiful as this, it's the least they deserve!
Kojima is A LIVING LEGEND!!
i thought the same when they featured a Low Roar song. Simply awesome what Kojima does
Silent Poets have been around since the 90s. Dope dope dope.
He and araki have a strong focus on music in their products
kojima likes thalia 😂 jaja he also bought her albums xD she is a famous singer in mexico but its rare that a men likes music like that xD

@@crisiscoreffv2 I really really really hope that it wins game of the decade award as well!!
Best game ever best soundtrack I've ever heard in a game and I'm gaming since the days of Ps2!
Last year God of war set a super high quality of a game level who thought that could be set even higher I honestly didn't!!
But this specific Kojima game is again even compared to the great God of war is on a completely new level.
It should win a dozens game of the year awards!
@@crisiscoreffv2 I think it is too controversial to win, if it had more universal acclaim I'd agree. Certainly, that's unfortunate, but great game nevertheless.
I recently came back and replayed it after DS2 was announced and it still is one of the only things that made me cry. It’s just a beautiful if flawed experience that no other medium has replicated to this degree.
Death Stranding is more relevant and needed than ever today. Thank you Kojima. For helping each other climb that mountain.
It’s a game and story for people who ponders the meaning of life and death. So I can understand the younger kids not liking it cause it’s a story that they can’t really relate or understand yet.
But man, it’s a one of a kind story for sure. The sound works is fantastic. That last reveal is beyond epic.
I'm pretty young and I absolutely love this game, I might be a little bit of an outsider because I isolate myself from social media even though a lot of teens have it, I just can't relate to most teens in general. So this game is where I feel like me.
can we stop generalising kids? ssure squeakers are in the majority but there are quite a few kiddos that are smarter and more understanding than even some adults.
@@winstonchurchill7822 for sure. There is! But I think he means that most of the hAte for this game and not understanding it’s meaning comes from younger generations, he’ll I don’t blame them I’m 36 and I had trouble understanding kojimas vision in general however this game is a masterpiece it should be in a museum in the future
@@ravenXcozmo oh well. Though i still think that this game was made for lonely people as kojima puts it. Here's what he's got to say: "there are a lot of people around the world sitting on their couch alone playing games. They often feel lonely, unfit for Society. I made this game to connect those people. To make them less lonely.
Its More for Introverts. Sure there is a correlation with the age as Older folk tend to have a hard time finding new and lasting friendships. And younger folk Having more friends from Their School/street etc. But that correlation doesnt extend to everyone. So this game Speaks to introverts from all generations.
"Because Im Fragile, but I'm not that fragile." Really great game, its moved me literally and opened my eyes to how we should be. Kojima has really made an outstanding game and he and the whole Death Stranding team deserve a huge hand in this true work of art "Keep on, keeping on" PS Higgs is my favourite, all the voice actors were astounding from Norman Reedus, Mads Mickelson, Troy Baker, all I'm saying is this game deserve a high achievement in video game history.
Can only say beating the heck out of Higgs was one of my favorite parts. Sorry he was complete D%$#, and watching slow-mo punches was worth $50 dollar. :)

I always liked Hideo Kojima for breaking that barrier between genres and while we call video games what he does it's always more than that it's about feeling and reflexion:
MGS: what we pass on through our genes
MGS2: what we pass on besides our genes
He and his crew make games that make you think and reflect about Life and such.
He took some risks, not afraid to show the horrors of war like in MGS5.
Kojima doesn't make vdeogames he crafts experiences
Thank you.
your comment is exactly what Death stranding is, its an experience, its not a Game, this is why Gamers who was looking for a game didn't find it. Unfortunately they are new to the Kojima experience, therefore was misguided, and hopefully it enlightens them for future game experiences. Death Stranding is about frustration and the end of humanity, then once connected, society provides comfort, and people once alone is now whole, to be connected is the human experience. People that doesn't want a moral lesson or exposition to the meaning of life will not like this game. This is a existential dive into humanity. Or just a delivery game, really depends on your viewpoints.
Both of your comments are spot on and they further elaborate on a thought I was pondering the other day. Things like call of duty, mortal combat, need for speed, etc; those are what most people would call games. But then there are such creations like The last of us, horizon zero dawn, death stranding, metal gear solid.... these... these are experiences and they arent meant for everyone. The people for who they are meant for, however will get an experience of a lifetime.
This game makes me want to cry because I'm happy.
Momma/heartmen/lou(ise) all had you going damm that got to have sucked. Chapter 3 where you just kept playing to find out more.
Death stranding already has best soundtrack award for sure
Each time I enter a private room in the game, I play this song, and I don't skip cutscenes anymore, so I can listen to it entirely. Kojima did a great job in choosing the soundtrack for this game, it fits perfectly in the story and everyone noticed it!!
This game has been calming my anxiety. Such an amazing experience thanks to Kojima. His vision for a different genre is paying off
Kojima’s taste in music is godly honestly
you know you've got chiral allergies when your eyes start tearing up for no reason whenever you hear this song played by an in-game structure

This song was my first impression of the game, and it made me so excited to play it. I avoided so many trailers, except a few of them. I started playing the game this January, and I finished it just a week or two ago. I am still missing delivering the cargo to the preppers of UCA. I truly enjoyed this game and I loved every second of it. Thanks to everyone here and to every porter I met along the way via their structures, signs, and footsteps. A big thanks to Kojima and his team at Kojima Productions. They have made a masterpiece and I can't wait for their next project.
"Whe are here for you, do not suffer alone"
man, I felt that very deeply
Just beat it a couple of days ago. DS is a lot deeper than what some haters talk about being "just a walking simulator". Definite GOTY contender.
This coming on right after the harrowing climb through the rocky mountain BT filled landscape and having it open up to the descent down to Port Knot City on the bike after getting through was an awesome experience. Loving this game so far :).
Wildezz ditto but I didn’t get the bike and was on foot when I went through bt terrain before climbing down towards port knot city. Still haven’t got access to bike and I’m in lake knot city. Wonder when it unlocks
@@plexusgamer1105 There's a bike you can fix right next to the Distribution Center South of Capital Knot City by building a charger tower and bringing it back into the building to your garage and have it fixed up. I used it for the rest of getting around the east area and it saved me a ton of time. Shortly after you activate a few connections in the second area you get to near Lake Knot City you open up making 2 types of bikes at your connected locations you've linked to the network - give or take a few hours or so.
I had to ditch the bike before I got to the mountain, but the fight with the BTs was brutal, my gear was trashed by the Timefall, but once I saw Port Knot city stretching before me with the waves of the lake gently rippling like a stone skipping across a pond, I knew; this was my reward.
This moment with this song has been my favorite moment in the game so far.
Im glad I wasnt the only one who thought so :)
@@plexusgamer1105 i got access to the bike and the long range bike after meeting The Craftsman during the Port Knot missions.
Keep an eye out for Trucks you can steal from M.U.L.E. camps, once you get some roads going, makes transporting cargo much easier
How do you get to drive a vehicle through a BT area? I have not been able to do that.

When I found any construction with this song playing I always stood listening
I've never played a better game, I've been looking for my whole life, I thought that the fallout series would throw me into a post-apocalyptic climate but dead stranding allowed me to breathe it at every step, every destroyed building, cars melted into the ground covered with moss ... one building looked better than a hundred in a fallout. All week I’ve been playing this game for the first time during these days of self isolation (quarantine) and without a doubt, Death Stranding truly is a work of art. Despite what any critics say, no one can take that away from Kojima. I couldn’t be more immersed with a game, especially in these difficult times.
A true masterpiece, this will set a new perspective on video games for generations to come.
Both of my first cousins died over the course of me playing this game, within 2 months. I can't help but get a feeling now that this music is inextricably linked to them in my psyche in a way I can't comprehend. What a mindfuck.
It's a strange concept to (like) something tragic event, but you must know that we don't press the icon, because of bad reasons. It's because of empathy. Be safe and have a lot of other mindfucks in your life. Such revelations and logical connections of the world around, because it's just that. One absolute mindfuck.
I'm buying the game just to hear this song in the background while I play
Hearing this while making a delivery just gives a beautiful feeling. I highly recommend it
Hearing this after a long journey over a mountain filled with close calls was great. Especially when you can see that its a straight shot to saftey and your journey has almost ended.

Kojima want you to connect with the other players playing the game via online multiplayer. This is the real element of the game .A new genre. "Bring your friends ,bring it all." . "We seem to need another ,we need you all" ."We are here for you"
Aggelos Feanor
We don't need more emphasis on multiplayer gimmicks, thanks. With that said, this souls-esk online feature is nothing new. Regardless, Saying "bring your friends" in response to this would be like saying "bring your friends" when No Man's sky first launched- and we all know how that went down. This was never marketed as an online game and would probably face the same criticism the aformentioned game got for not being able to actually interact with players directly.
Zachary Law i dont mean multiplayer . I mean connection between players in a single player game
Kojima said that the game can be completed with single player but the real deal is in the connection
Like the PT demo...
Aggelos Feanor, some people are allergic to the word "multiplayer"...:)
If it's a game made to create connections, maybe like Journey, it seems like a nice thing.
Oh this song... It is really a very special piece that integrates with DS, and the first time I listened to it, it gave me indescribable emotions, and every time I listened to it, it also manages to do it like the first time.
I know DS is very different and won't appeal to everyone, but people who love the game like me, it really offers something special and giving a wonderful times.
Thanks to Kojima and Death Stranding, I discovered a lot of great song, including Low roar and this one, like finding gems, it is hard to find without knowing where to look and it is sad to know that there are like these and many other good pieces waiting to be discovered, but knowing that we will continue to discover many of them when the right time comes, it's knowing that enough to make us happy, at least i believe that.
My taste in music has changed since I have played Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
Imagine someone in the forest walking in snow but bleeding and an undeniable face of fatigue but also determination to reunite with his loved ones.
Im so happy that the death stranding soundtrack won game of the year soundtrack.
I think its also about how he wants the audience to connect and work together. Like how he is implementing the rope idea instead of the typical stick dynamic most games like Cod have. Also i think its referring to how kojima fans are mostly otaku loners who find communitty in mgs communitty. Like we feel less alone talking and searching death stranding mgs theories and talking with other fans. Kojima doesnt want others to feel lonely like he does. Especially considering where hes from..loneliness in japan is an epidemic.
I bought the game a week ago and I am loving every single moment of it! The feeling of not being alone and everyone playing it helping together rebuilt. Thank you Kojima san for giving us this unique masterpiece!
What a masterpiece of a song.
I am a man that doesn't cry a lot, but every time i hear this song i feel my eyes getting wet... 😢
The journey gave me a lot and means me a lot. Such a truly inspiring uncompromised masterpiece: thank you Kojima-san, thank you Sony.
Build bridges, not walls
"We are here for you, don't suffer alone, tell us" i think Kojima meant by this that even those creatures are not the evil ones. Most likely we will see another side of perspective and learn what's good about them. It's so in Kojima style, i have no doubt they are not bad guys in it's traditional meaning.
p.s. i think that this song been done specifically for Death Stranding as well. :) You can see the Iceland everywhere in music video for this song on SILENT POETS youtube channel. Death Stranding happens on Iceland too.
Kojima said he found them after the fact, not that this was done specifically for the game. A perfect match made in heaven. He said one of the people working for his catering team was also a musician, and told him their band was releasing an album for the first time in 12 years. He happened to listen to them by chance, and loved the music, so he decided to use a song in the game. The found the other trailer music this way too, finding Low Roar in a random Icelandic record shop and liking the music. There's your Iceland connection (that's why he made the first Death Stranding trailer and that whole other dimension look like an Icelandic beach.) They did "Death Stranding" vibe music videos after the deal with Kojima was worked out, but the music was already written beforehand. It's just Kojima finding music that matches perfectly, not him getting them to make songs after the fact especially for him ;)
bullshit...
okay
Soknheith i mean it's bullshit that the song wasn't specifically written for DS...
the real enemy in the game is yourself, in fact, isolation
Kojima himself said this
and this song also talks about that
Just bought the game a week ago... Haven't finished it but it's worth it if you're patient
I think of it as a book in game form, read it, think about it and then judge it
When playing death stranding I didn’t know how alone I was :( even though life is good i feel alone listening to this made me cry I don’t wanna suffer alone
You, me and everyone who feels alone are not there's people out there for us and you'll find out that when you feel your suffering that even a reply like this means your not alone stay strong and keep on going!!
Riding a motorcycle down the side of a mountain on a foggy morning, The sun breaks through the clouds as you spot the city, and this song just starts playing in the background... one of the best uses of music I've ever seen in a game.
Anyone else tear up from this song? It just expresses everyones life, no matter the religion or colour. This song has so many meanings and connections to manipulation and death, especially war. But it knows no sides. Could the two strands be a person who takes a life effecting the newly murdered, and at the same time, themself. When you take a life, you take from your own life. The five angels of death in the sky, a sort of equalizer, a final judgment. Together we find the light, the fight, the quietness. (I'm not religious but these were my first thoughts seeing the trailer)
Well, I loved your thoughts.
some what similar to what i thought though in great details
How is it related to war at all?
These lyrics are definitely meant as a message from the entire DS community to itself.
You mean Dark Souls community? XD That would fit as well
You're my bridge to the future.

I'm about 8-10 hours in and I have to say that this game has one the best soundtracks ever. When I was coming over a hill to my destination and this song started playing, I just stopped so I could listen to the whole thing.
Kojima doesn't want you to suffer, He wants you to lessen the suffering of others.
I like how the lyrics keep spazzing out
It is a silent fault.
Fantastic, haunting sound. Fits so well with Death Stranding scenario. Superb, a masterpiece in all terms.
This song makes me want to put cardboard boxes on my back and walk for an entire day.
Hold your breath .. some people r really PT ..
