Wow. These are soooo over the top. I love them. I can envision my Grandparents' floor radio with those big rich speakers piping out these jingles while I'm turning the big dial to see which clear channel stations I could pull in from miles away. Granted I'm a '70s kid, but this is some of my favorite type of nostalgia. Great compilation Ellis.
I love this, it is greatly appreciated. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us. I am wishing you and your nearest and dearest, entirely a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year, 2025🌟🎉. Happy holidays.
This was well before my time but listening to WABC and WINS jingles seem to make all my troubles go away. Lol😂😆 It's also weird (AT LEAST FOR ME) listening to WINS before they became an all news station. I only remember it as "You give us 22 minutes, we'll give you the world."
Radio KLFM in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia uses some genericlly edited vintage jingles like these including a great "Who Listens To Radio? cut done by Ella Fitzgerald!
I date the WABC jingles in 1957, when ABC Radio temporarily became the American Broadcasting Network. This was radio's last attempt at long form entertainment program, with Merv Griffin, Jim Backus and even country music singer Eddie Arnold ( or was it Ray Price?) hosting a network program from Nashville. By the way, Ellis, the Nashville program was broadcast from WSM, then an NBC radio affiliate, rather than ABC affiliated WSIX Radio
1:12 The sad backstory of the former WIL-AM is that the 1430am frequency in St Louis (which rebranded to KZQZ-AM in 2008 after Hubbard sold the station to a company known as Entertainment Media Trust) went silent in 2020 after the FCC revoked the license because the owner of the station was a convicted felon. After about a month of "pirate broadcasts" reported by local media, the station went dark and was delated permanently after no bids were posted during a 2021 auction.
I am up to WBA-WBZA and have only heard ONE track that I have heard previously. And, I've been doing this jingle thing since the late 1950s! Congrats on getting some stuff most of us have not heard before. On, wait. WITH sounds like the early PAMS series before #15 Living Radio. Next time, how about some Sande & Greene tracks. WNEW, WIP, WHK, KFWB ad more used them.
Glad I was able to share some cuts you had not heard before. The WITH jingles came from… PAMS Series ONE! It took me years to find something from series 1.
A 23-minute montage of jingles from the 1950s? On Christmas Eve? Let's gooo!
@@psychomoonrider8700 Thought it might be enjoyed by some radio geeks.
@EllisFeaster If there's one thing I'm geeky about it's classic radio.
Radio must've been awesome in those days. Love these jingles!

The WABC cut at 6:02 sounds very similar to the 1957 Perry Como hit "Magic Moments".
@markshayler6309 It probably was him

Interesting collection of stuff... I've always liked the Johnson & Siday WABC cuts.
The WABC jingles are very nice.
There IS a certain "charm" with these extended jingles! Getting caught up on your content again Sir Ellis! JINGLE ALL THE WAY!
@@louisb5563 I’ll post more of them soon.
WQAM, WHB, WTIX and WDGY were Storz Stations. All the Storz stations had fantastic jingles. KOMA, KXOK and others.
This knocks me right outta my shoes! Hahaha!
@@davidsharp3110 It was a different era!
@@EllisFeaster Love it!!!
Amazing! I really don't remember any of these! I was around when they played!
Sir, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
@@moboutmen You are welcome. Will post more of these soon.

Me too. Ellis. Happy holidays to you, my friend!

These people were true musicians. They had VOICES! THEY COULD SING!!
Are any of these stations still on the air I already asked about WBZ+WBZA
@@genegjr Some are still around, but they all have different formats today.
@@EllisFeaster And, some different calls, but the licence would be the same.
I know WBZ is still on but is WBZA in Springfield still on just wondering!🤔
@@genegjr WBZA went off the air in 1962, so Westinghouse could take control of WINS New York.
