I remember this call and the one things that sticks out in my memory is my parents who are both veterans laughter and then both saying “ Yeah, you fucked up this time big dog! “
That's exactly what I was thinking if I called my mom and did this she's not all there and would not understand and would probably think I'm in some real shit
LMAO!! When I arrived at bootcamp, my mother changed her number the week before. So I ended up calling a complete stranger at 3am screaming my ass off with DI's screaming at me. I think she wanted to fuss at me for calling at such an unholy hour but once she heard the commotion on my end.. she felt horrible because all I heard the lady say was "......well good luck young man". 😂😂😂😂
I remember in the Army even if you had nobody to call they still made you stand there and hold the phone and read the thing. Shits funny how the military does things haha

I always got in trouble for laughing. I guarantee y’all I did more push-ups for laughing than anyone ever! The DI’s faces would be all red & spit would be flying out of their mouths, their voices would go hoarse from screaming & cussing at me. It just made me laugh harder. Once in a while, the DIs would crack a smile too. It was totally hilarious. Some of the girls would cry. I told them to STFU & quit being babies. I was mean. Just came out of the hood from the SGV in Los Angeles County. These guys did not intimidate me. Paris Island has some nasty sand fleas & biting flies that like to chew bloody holes in your skin while you are in formation & can’t move a muscle except maybe your eyeballs so you can watch the blood coming out where the bugs are chewing holes and feeding on you while you are holding your rifle.
