However, your style, your sound, your art is all reflective of your culture. I don't see you betraying who you are, death and mysticism are deeply rooted in our identity. Part of the idiosyncrasy of being Mexican is our comical view of death. We even have a holiday dedicated to remember our deceased loved ones. We have come up with nicknames for it-La Flaca, La Pelona, 'Le tocó bailar con la más fea', a phrase we use when someone dies. We don't see death as the end, but rather a continuation to our never-ending journey. It isn't something we fear, it does not have to be sad, and we are fully aware that it's something we all will, eventually, face. So, I would say that you have made that connection between being goth and being Chicano, visible. I understand your message, it totally resonates with me.
