I wish today's midrangers offered flagship performance, build quality and great cameras for these prices, can't express how satisfied I have been with this phone for the almost three years I've been using it. The cpu still kicks and cameras are also up to put a fight, It's been amazing and I'm willing to use it for 1-2 more years before I upgrade to another huawei device, keep up the great work Chris!

I'm coming from a p20 Pro and s7 edge and this nova 5t blows them both Outa the water. It's fast n smooth.. Looks amazing.. Feels pure quality and the quad camera and selfie camera are like nothing I've seen before, pure class in every sence of the word. Absolute steel at £289.99.
Had this super phone for 2 months now ... 'upgraded' from Galaxy Note 10+ which was one of the most frustrating phones I've ever had to turn on ... fingerprint scanner was dreadful! Now I'm extremely happy with my 5T, soooo easy to use, perfect size in the hand, has all the features that are really important, great speedy camera and best battery life - usually more than 70% remaining at the end of the day! My personal preference ... I love the IPS screen, I find it sharper and easier on the eyes than my old Note10+ AMOLED. Happy to forgo the AOD and waterproofing of a flagship for about a third of the price. :)

It is way way better than picking up a Samsung midrange phone,you have here way better cameras and a flagship processor something Samsung is not ready to offer in this price range :)
I bought mine about a month ago, for roughly £230. I really like it, compared to other mid-rangers the Nova 5T is a steal with its kirin 980 and the camera setup. The IPS display is a "minus", but I can live with it if that means that my phone will be relatively fast for at least a couple of years :)
Just update emui10 yesterday on my nova 5t. Very smooth and very easy to use look and feel more stock than before emui10 is improved more clean interface than before and less cartoon look.

Swapped my Nova 5t for the Mate 20(Non-pro). It is a better value than my 5t but still I missed the compact form factor of the 5t. So easy to hold and very light. Nice review though. Please review the Mate 20(Non-pro) in 2020. 😀
I'm still using it as a backup gaming phone and emulation machine. Kirin 980 is still hella more powerful than Odin lite, base and pro versions lol. Pair it with a phone cooler and the antutu score boosts into 600k plus. Heard there was a custom firmware for it but I'm too lazy to flash it. If only it had sd card slot and hdmi out, it would've still be more than perfect.

Some perks I noted include the EMUI (which is clean and blazing fast), the flat LCD (I have dropped my Honor 8 face-first many times with virtually no damage), and the camera which seems amazing! Not reaally into the new Nova 9 tho... Mediocre SD chipset and no 5g in 2021 haha

I had this phone for 3 years but I'm looking for another one now just bcs of the storage space. As I'm playing mostly mobile games and i have a looot of apps i barely have any storage but these 3 years considering this phone got on the market in 2019 if i remember correctly, it was too good for it's price Pubg, CoD, Dead by Daylight worked amazing on low graphics and medium and pretty good on ultra(except Dbd) Unfortunately for Genshin players it's gonna lag even on low graphics, at least mine does after 3 years of using it. Overall, for its price it's so worth it
I have broken 2 screens on my nova 5t -the first was a minor drop onto concrete when it fell out of my pocket. the second it got water ingress from use in very heavy rain. I must say the screen is very very delicate and a big disappointment. Even a dead pixel from water damage renders the whole screen unusable. it just goes haywire. its not like breaking an Iphone screen where generally you can still use the phone. even slight damage to the screen even if not cracked totals it.
the drawback of this phone is the non-upgrade on staying with a LCD screen compared to newer phones that have OLED. This is the only reason why I'm still holding back on getting this phone
@@bubamileva the first drop was with a tempered glass protector on it. A minor fall from my pocket and the protector and screen both cracked. It's so damn fragile the screen.

As someone else said this is the Honor 20 under a different model name. I already have emui10/magic ui3 on my phone as part of the beta testing programme and I've never had an issue with it. My son like mine so much he bought one as well and they were somewhat cheaper than the Nova 5T.

They're releasing same phones with different names.. Huawei nova 5t is d same phone which released in my country last yr, Honor 20. Nd they've recently launched Honor 9x, that phone has Kirin 710F but Chinese varient has new n powerful 810 processor. Some youtubers r saying they can't get Google services wid new chips.
