    As an Oregon fan what I've learned about Indiana is it's NOT the Jimmies and the Joes it really IS the X's and O's. That staff can flat out teach ball, game plan and manage a game.

      I remember early 2025, before season kicked off. I said several times "Indiana will be an easy win". I take full blame for how that played out

      @Gunbladewarrior 19 days ago +1

      It's both actually. Take the Ohio State game for example. If Ohio State has a competent kicker, Indiana isn't winning anything.

      @Andrew-my3sc 19 days ago +1

      Saw that as a Penn State fan last year too. All of that talent, but it couldn't mesh and that was the end of it. It's why I'm cautiously optimistic about Campbell's first season.

      lanning should be less of a jackass. Calling a timeout at Michigan, taunting fans at Iowa, trash talking USC. He’s a great coach, just be a great coach and drop the doucheyness.

    You can’t help yourself. Always looking for a reason to discount the Hoosiers. Don’t you get it? It’s the coaching staff-just like in the glory days of IU basketball. But, who can lay blame-you are not really old enough to remember that.

      Sustained success is a different beast. This is the guy’s 3rd season. He keeps it up for another 5 seasons, then you can start running this shtick without looking like a homer. Until then, shut up.

      @Thelegendaryromero 17 days ago

      @SportsComedyHipHop 2 years is hardly enough to draw any conclusions from. Not to mention, how much longer is Indiana gonna have Cig in the big picture? Another decade would be nice, but I can’t see much further on than that. The guy’s 65 now.

      They had a huge amount of success with Cig's seasoned veterans that he ported over from JMU. Virtually all those guys are gone. We'll see what he can do with a heavy portal class but yeah, there's definitely questions to be answered. I agree with the 9.

    • @JasonSmith-th4ii
      @JasonSmith-th4ii 19 days ago +6

      I’m an Ohio State fan and I agree completely. You guys are the defending champions, and it wasn’t a fluke. Right now the hardest game on our schedule is at Bloomington on Oct 17th.

    • @Fooballsicko
      @Fooballsicko 19 days ago

      They are 111th in returning snap production, low level of returning starters.
      Great portal but not a large one. 17 players in. Depth will be a concern.
      Hoover is not at all mobile. Not a scrambler even. Different than what Cig had in Roarke and Mendoza. Their mobility was integral to the O lines success. Because IUs O line was opportunistic. They never dominated the big boys, they played disciplined and schemed. But plays broke down all the time and they needed Roarke, Mendoza to escape pressure and even run for gains.
      Schedule is also harder.
      A 9 is still great.

      USC vs Oregon was one of the games I actually was worried about as an Oregon fan for 2025. We had freshie corners up against two pretty nasty receivers and a QB who can run. If ya'll had a remotely confident defense that game would have been a nail biter

    • @TroysConquest

    @MattGinNY 15 days ago

    PSU and Indiana schedules are very manageable. Not in the B10 but ND has the weakest schedule and we'll be hearing about NC and Heisman from ND by Halloween. B10 will come down to OSU, Oregon, and USC. Michigan is gonna get hit by the NCAA any day now and will be bowl ineligible. The UM Athletic Department does indeed lack institutional control and no matter how dysfunctional the NCAA is...they won't be able to ignore it in the coming weeks...

      @noahs7335 18 days ago

      Yeah, I just feel like we are going to have a bad loss early in the season, and this one is a good candidate. I think we go 10-2. Lose to one bad one. Go 2-1 against UM, Wash, USC.
      I have no idea why we are so far behind USC and UM in odds though. I don't think we win the B1G, but that is kind of insulting.

    • @RyanCuen
      @RyanCuen 19 days ago +5

      @brownsloyalist5417u mean the loss when USC played without half of their team, including their RB1, RB2, TE1, TE2, WR1, WR2, LT, RG, C, FS SS, MLB, CB1, DE, and DT? Obviously USC didn’t want to lose that game, but to group that in with the others is ridiculous. TCU had one opt out. Every other starter played in that game.

    As a USC fan, I haven’t been the cautiously optimistic in a while. I’m hoping Gary Patterson’s staff can light a fire under the defenses ass compared to Lynn.

    • @IvetteColmenero-p6o
      @IvetteColmenero-p6o 19 days ago +3

      Count on it! Riley wanted Patterson two years earlier, but GP had to wait out his 5 years for HOF vote, AND he needed and wanted to recharge his batteries! Now that he has done that, USC gets his best and may I remind you???, GP's best is HOF Coaching!
      Bottomline, IF GP can compliment on Defense what Riley delivers always on Offense, we won't have to be "cautiously optimistic' this year! We make the CFB Playoffs and then??? Can Nattyville be very far beyond? Two years from now, USC could be enjoying a full-blown Pete Crroll renaissance 2.0, courtesy of HC Lincoln Riley, DC Gary Patterson, GM Chad Bowden and a tip of the cap to AD Jen Cohen!!! Fight On!
      Then, it must be said, the NCAA will not again be able to bring about a 'Kangaroo Court Imbroglio' as they did vs HC PC's Trojans back then to deprive USC from its rightful run (18 years they swiped!!!) of Blue Blood Football! Those days are over, Thank You Ted Cruz and US Supreme Court!

    Is he suddenly going to "patch" the USC boat?
    Lincoln Riley is all "Rep" and no substance until further notice.
    Lincoln is way too comfortable with his SoCal lifestyle.
