- It did not appear that competing in a triathlon was in the cards for 14-year-old Caleb Prewitt, of Jacksonville, Florida, who has Down Syndrome - until he met 21-year-old triathlete Chris Nikic, the first person with Down Syndrome to ever complete the grueling 140-mile Ironman competition. What Nikic did next was even more herculean: taking the young fan under his wing and planting a dream. Steve Hartman reports.

I have followed Chris Nikic since 1% better first started. This is one of the most inspiring stories of the year! Chris by himself is amazing. This is one of those "making a difference moments!"
Guess I'd better get off my arse and do something today. Thanks to Chris and Caleb (and CBS Sunday Morning) for the inspiration.
Glad to say we are friends with Caleb and so proud of his accomplishments in completing this triathlon and being selected to represent Florida in the 2022 Special Olympics Summer Games.
