There's a very clear distinction between the two, but I'm guessing your bias is so strong and the media you watch has convinced you that they're one in the same. There are assholes in the world, I think everyone can agree there. There's no limitations on who's an asshole or what alignments they have. There's assholes on the left, there's assholes on the right and there's assholes somewhere in the middle. You're only doing yourself a disservice by grouping up everyone into one group and using blanket statements to judge them all. Protesting has been a thing for a long time and I'd hate for it to go anywhere. There's a reason we have the 2nd amendment and this is part of it. What you're not acknowledging through all your bias is that these assholes are opportunistic and know the cops are busy with the protests, so they run around looting and taking advantage of the situation. Normally this wouldn't be much of an issues since people would be outside, but since we're in a pandemic, most people are inside and their non-essential businesses have been closed for some time. I think everyone across the board, protesters, non protesters, the general populace, think the looters are pieces of shit and should be punished. As much as I'd like to see all looters get punished, I don't think it'll happen. So when you say stuff like "Their purpose is to steal n looted" you sound VERY arrogant. The point of the protest is to end police brutality on minorities.
So while the end goal is for all of us to come together and end hatred, here you are trying to divide us more. You completely missed the head of the nail for why the protests are occurring and all you've achieved in your rant is look like an uneducated fool. I know belittling you might not make you see reason, but it's upsetting when people don't get the idea behind the movement. They want to move the goal posts and blanket statement a group of people. They came to this country in search of a better life only to have all their efforts and hard work ruined over night by a bunch of criminals. We cannot allow this to happen again.
This is why we have to commit to help small business owners and if we are in their neighborhood to help them out, and help create a neighborhood watch in shifts to help owners like him out being either with monetary or donations to help him out, as well as being a neighborhood police watch to report any suspicious behavior directly to law enforcement if it gets within 5, 10 to 20 feet of businesses like his. Another way is to patron his store and help with the cleaning up even more, and to remain vigilant in reporting anything suspicious. It is heartbreaking to see, but we can help him and others rise above it, and let them know that we got their backs.

Every time awareness is brought of small-businesses being destroyed, people just sort of dismiss it. This is a friend of one of my students. I was heartbroken when she told me about it. He didn't do anything to deserve this.

Receiving money from relatives, we need to refuse at least three times before accepting it. Any time you want another day ruined pls Google about a Bronx, NY family whose pawn shop on Fordham Road was similarly destroyed by looters. They even tried to drag the mother out of their car and she ended up in the ICU. The story was not carried by any news media, just a few online news.
